"Stand Inside Your Love" as written by and William Patrick Corgan....
You and me
Meant to be
It's destiny
Pure lunacy

And for the last time
You're everything that I want and asked for
You're all that I dream
Who wouldn't be the one you love
Who wouldn't stand inside your love
Protected and the lover of

A pure soul
And beautiful
Don't understand
Don't fear me now
I will breath
For the both of us
Travel the world
Traverse the skies
Your home is here
Within my heart

And for the first time
I feel as though I am reborn in my mind
Recast as child and mystic sage

Who wouldn't be the one you love
Who wouldn't stand inside your love

For the first time
I'm telling how much I need and bleed for
Your every move and waking sound in my time
I'll wrap my wire around your heart
And your mind
You're mine forever now
Who wouldn't be the one you love and live for
Who wouldn't stand inside your love and die for
Who wouldn't be the one you love

General CommentI try not to listen to this song too often, don't want to lose the feeling it gives me through over playing it. It's such an emotional song.
I see it as a song about being in love, but it's very dark in places. It feels like a love that isnt fully recipricated and it tears you apart.
The "i'm telling how much i need and bleed for your every move and waking sound in my time.." verse is the dark one for me. This song lyrically just makes so much sense to me and musically it's very powerful.

General CommentI think treestump is right. But I love how the lyric takes a differnt view of love. It easy to say I love you in a song but this says in all the world I want you to be the person to love me. This is a great song

My Opinionone of the best songs billy has ever written.
the song was written about his ex-girlfriend - yelena yemchuk
who was the director and photographer for zero and thirty-three.

    best part is -
    "for the first time
i'm telling how much i need and bleed for
your every move and waking sound in my time
i'll wrap my wrap my wire around your heart
    and your mind
    you're mine forever now"

    i love this song.

General CommentActually almost every single one of you, least the majority of what I've seen are completely way off. Corgan stated that this one a song he had written in only 10 minutes, it wasn't directed towards anyone, he just had to come up with lyrics to go with a song he had written, and it was origianally meant to sound a bit more upbeat, but when they got into it made it a little more melancholy, much like their older stuff.

And anyone making ties between the video and the song itself, you should check out the story of Salome' before you start making assumptions.

General CommentThis song describes true love so well, for those who haven't had true love I really hope you find it because you will know just what I mean, the lyrics speak to me Sooo much, and just how I would die for my Sammi, and just how pure and beautiful she is, it's like Billy wrote this to describe just how I feel lol, but seriously this describes true love so well

General CommentBilly stated in a TV performance (Storytellers on VH-1 in 2000 iirc) that this was written for/about his then girlfriend, Yelena Yemchuk. She is the girl who appears in the song's video. She also directed the video "Zero" and co-directed the vid for "Thirty-three". On the Greatest hits DVD she appears on the alternate cut for Thirty-three. I believe she and Corgan split up around 2001/02.

MemoryActually, although Billy apparently wrote this song really quickly, he said it was the most meaningful love song he had written.
I actually used the words to this song for my Reading in Church at our Wedding Blessing! It probably went over the heads of most people there with it's darkness, but it meant a great deal to us. Love is a beautiful mystery...
