Hate, something, sometime, someway,
something kick on the front floor.
Mine? Something, inside.
I'll never ever follow.
So give.. me.. some.. thing.. that.. is.. for.. real.
I'll never ever follow.
Get your boogie on...
Hate, something, someway, each day, feeling ripped off again.
Why? This shit inside.
Now everyone will follow.
So give.. me.. noth.. ing.. just.. feel.
And now this shit will follow.
God thinks we will never see the light, who wants to see?
God told me, I've already got the life, oh I see...
God thinks we will never see the light, who wants to see?
God told me, I've already got the life, oh I say...
Oh, I see
Each day I can feel it swallow, inside something they took from me.
I don't feel your deathly ways.
Each day i feel so hollow, inside I was beating me,
You will never see, so come dance with me.
Dance with me
Rumbiddieboo
Rum bum dee dum dee bum diddie doo
ME!
God thinks we will never see the light, who wants to see?
God told me, I've already got the life, oh I see...
God thinks we will never see the light, who wants to see?
God told me, I've already got the life, oh I say...
Got the life.
Got... the... life.

General CommentTo me, Jonathan has a conflict with his inner-self. He speaks of something inside, and that's what acts in a rather blithe manner to what he feels. He says, for example:

    * Hate, something, sometime, someway, something kick off the front floor. // I'm not OK.
    * Mine? Something, inside. // Something inside says:
    * I'll never ever follow. // The voice is reluctant to follow God, no matter how things get.
    * So give.. me.. some.. thing.. that.. is.. for.. real. // He's asking for directions...
    * I'll never ever follow. // His voice says on the inside: "I still won't go there."

The song is about how he is looking for God because his life is destroyed, but there's something inside that is rebellious against following God, albeit his life is a mess. It's an anthem, for sure. The Chorus goes like:

    * God paged me, I'll never see the light // God/Christians say that I'm going to hell for what I do.
    * Oh, I still see. // It's being sarcastic: "I'm already in hell --I can see quite well."
    * God told me, I've already got the life, oh I say... // God offered him 'life', and he's being sarcastic: "Oh, I see/say." as in "Good for you!"

General Commentthis is korn's best song and looking at the clip i would say it's about having everything that everyone wants but then not wanting it anymore. e.g munky & david drive the car over a thingy and it crashes and burns, head & fieldy give their car away. so yeah, i always just thought of it as meaning that fame isn't everything that you think it is. and when jon smashes the cameras with the baseball bat is exactly what i would do :)

General Commentthe clip of it is very interesting.
they have everything, theyre rich - famous.
fame is a poison. maybe sick of it.
its once again st. against the industry.
    getting commercial......

    interview with jon:
"That's a song baggin' on myself. How everything's always handed to me. How I look up to God and don't want this anymore. Like I want something more out of life than all this. And I've got everything I really need but I sometimes don't like. I don't know how to explain it. I have to let it sit through the songs more to actually get into what I write. I truly know, really, the meanings of the songs almost. That's what I'm getting out of it right now."

General CommentIt's "God pains me, he'll never see the lie he wants to see", and it can't make any more sense than that. It would seem to me that JD was confused when he wrote this song. His great riches are the life that people of the world desire, whereas God sees such as nothing; but in any case the song is about him having everything this world has to offer and it's not enough. Maybe he should try Jesus Christ.

General Comment[Edit] I'm reading Head's book, and he says it right in there...

"God paged me / you'll never see the light / who wants to see? / God told me / you already got the life / Oh, I see."
