"Hello McFly" as written by Matthew Arnold Thiessen, Stephen Cushman, Matthew Ryan Hoopes and Brian Lee Pittman....
A roll of the dice
A slip of the tongue
I was stirring up the hornet's nest
It finally got me stung

Said I'd do the right thing
But the wrong was done
It's over, excuse my grammar
But the fat lady's sung

And I wish I were Michael J. Fox
I'd visit the past
Then come back to the future
Hello McFly
When I'd cleaned up my act

Yeah I don't know
What went through my head
Was my conscience shut
Was it left for dead
I said I'm sorry but
No one heard, 'cause actions
Actions speak louder than words

I think I made God angry
Yeah I'm sure that He's irate
I just hope my remorse was not
Too little to late

I gave Him my track record
He gave me a clean slate
Now I'm forgiven and I'm living
With no sin on my plate

General Commentthis was the first song by relient k i ever heard and i'm glad it was. they have a sense of humor they use to get their point across and i think it's awesome that they are so cool about it. it's so awesome of them to be able to show GOD as the cool cat HE is...it makes me ha-a-ppy

General CommentThis song is one of my favorite relient K songs, I think it's about a sinner feeling remorseful and trying to make up for what he did but now it's hard

General CommentI love all of the 80's references Relient K gives you. Not only from the 80s but alot of different stuff. Its like they mention michael j fox and back to the future and that pulls you in. Then on their new album they have a reference to the batman ride from six flags. great band great lyrics awesome music.

General Commentits about a sinner wanting to go back and fix everything "And I wish I was Michael J. Fox, I'd visit the past
Then I'd come back to the future, when I cleaned up my act
I don't know what went through my head
    Was my conscience shot
    Was it left for dead
    I said I'm sorry
But no one heard, cause actions speak louder than words" and everyone remembers actions and then words barely mean anything and then after he made God angry He still forgave him "I think I made God angry, yeah I'm sure that he's irate
I just hope my remorse was not too little too late
I gave him my track record, he gave me a clean slate
I'm forgiven and I'm living with no sin on my plate"

General Commentthis song is awesome cause it is funny and talks about back to the future, but it also has some great lines about Christianity. i have felt like this a lot, but have never been able to express it. im so glad that relient k has that talent, they are such great writers.
i really like the part about the conscience "I don't know what went through my head Was my conscience shot Was it left for dead"
not only is that hilarious, its so true. i wish i could take back the things that i did in the past, and a lot of Christians feel that way.
Relient K rocks, but God rules.

General CommentIt's about how relient k have been forgiven for their sins, yet they'd like to visit the past, and go back to the future and clean up their act. It's really clever how they use the idea of Micheal J fox and back to the future to get a christian message across from themselves.
