"STP" as written by and Bradley James Nowell....
There's a steel train comin' through I would take it if I could
And I would not lie to you because Sunday mornin' soon will come

When things will be much easier to say
Upon the microphone like a boss DJ
But I won't walk up upon the sea like it was dry land
Boss DJ ain't nothin' but a man
No trouble, no fuss, I know why..

It's so nice, I want to hear the same song twice,
It's so nice don't want to hear the same song twice

Rumors are spreading all over my town
But it's just stones and sticks,
Upon the microphone is where I go to get my fix

Just let the lovin' take a hold 'cause it will if you let it
I'm funky not a junkie but I know where to get it
No trouble no fuss I know why

It's so nice I want to hear the same song twice
It's so nice I want to hear the same song twice

Oooee girl
Oooee girl
Oooee girl

Ooee girl and there really ain't no time to waste
Really ain't no time to hate
Ain't got no time to waste, time to hate
Really ain't no time to make the time go away

So mister DJ don't stop the music,
I want to know,
Are you feelin' the same way too?

I want to rock it wih you-ou girl,
You-ou girl, you-ou girl, oooooo
Mmmmmhmmmhhmmm
Don't stop

Cause it's so nice I want to hear the same song twice,
It's so nice I want to hear the same song twice

Nowadays all the songs on the radio,
They all,
All drive me crazy

General CommentFlava Flav and ICE once said something that made me...

They didn't actually say something to incite riots you racists bastards!!! LOL Just ICE, and perhaps a lesser extent Flav, Spoke of Social Injustice, and rebelion...get up stand up if you will.
The Kingston Sound Is Reggae, and the lyric is actually "they love us for our Kingston Sound"

And she made off with his last clean rig.
-whether the song is about herion or Meth or what ever doesn't matter, because in this line, Rig is his Kit for Herion, the spoon, the needle a light and what not. doesn't mean the rest of the song is about herion...I mean if you you are all sitting around doing meth, you are gonna start either going through stuff in the house, or taking part bikes...it's always bikes...anyway
"Don't want no money fee man don't want no money down."

I second that emotion by my man William "Smokey" Robinson and Al Cleveland

General CommentThis song is absolutely about tweaking on crystal meth... in his secret tweaker pad... where they actually recorded their entire second album and shot the video for this song.

"i-c-e" = in case u a little out of the drug lingo ice is an extremely common slang term for crystal meth. And in case you aren't familiar with the effects of the drug, it goes something like this: you become delusional and incredibly paranoid, begin to think people are out to kill you - "and I just can't leave the pad, cuz I'd surely wind up dead, cuz I know they're out there waitin', and watchin' for me" , and furthermore it gets your blood pressure sky high and makes you incredibly hyper - when, mixed with delusional feelings of paranoia, may make one feel like, say, burning down their liquor store for no apparent reason.

The rest of the song he kinda talks about how he has to calm himself down, remind himself he's surrounded by friends and no one's really trying to kill him... to pass the time, and because he's tweaked out of his mind so he can pay attention to just about anything, he wrenches on his car, plays crossword puzzles, and is learning how to cook meth himself.

then the fear hits him again, this time for more legit reasons. I have heard that the "pad" they were using was illegally registered under their name or something... and even if that's not true, they had a bunch of sketchy-ass junkie motherfuckers coming in and out, and people fucking tripping out and probably causing a huge scene and a lot of noise, and people jacking his shit left and right, and them boys would always play their music loud as hell... and so basically he was shitting bricks thinking the cops were about to bust open the door any second and take him to the booty house, and if you listened to date rape, you know Brad's feelings about the potential for going there.

General CommentThe song is about a time in his life when he stayed in his STP and learned a lot of new things, whilst fearing death.
