"Third Alternative" as written by and David Wyndorf....
My hands up to the maker, my head's down in the bomb
I swim in bloated vision, and I kiss you on the phone
My heart beats so atomic, and I spill the sweat of drones
A mouth screams to a hundred, and my lips split all alone

Sometimes I think this pig will just explode
Sometimes I hope this torture just goes on
Well I'll stuff myself in a pi of darkness
And I'll slam 'till I can't see home

Would you like to hope for Eden, that I keep a steady hand
Do you want to milk the syrup of a thousand year old man
Shall we fuck each other's babies, let momentum do its best
Keep our shrieking little urges in our burned out little heads
Well I sense a slight recoil was it something that I said

Sometimes I think this pig will just explode
Sometimes I hope this torture just goes on
Well I'll stuff myself in a pi of darkness
And I'll slam 'till I can't see home
Dropping off the edge of nowhere
Everything I've ever known

This is what you asked for
Now this is what you'll get

Sometimes I think this pig will just explode
Sometimes I hope this torture just goes on
Well I'll stuff myself in a pi of darkness
And I'll slam 'till I can't see home
Dropping off the edge of nowhere
Everything I've ever known
I've ever known
I've ever known
I've ever known

General CommentThe lyrics must inspired by the conspiracy theory named alternative sollution 3. The planet is doomed and an elit is gathering scientists and great brains to bases on the Moon and Mars. They re supposed to use abdacted humans with lobotomy as slaves there and prepare to build a new world for them.

Song MeaningDave stated at a concert once that this song is about (paraphrasing) "Being in a destructive relationship, but the sex is just so good you never want it to end" Which is kind of what I always got out of it anyways. "I'll stuff myself in a pit of darkness, and I'll slam till I can't see home" is obviously about sex in that context.

I also personally think it's a relationship involving an older man and younger woman... "Do you want to milk the syrup of a thousand year old man?" and "Shall we fuck each others babies?"

I think a lot of people mistakenly interpret Monster Magnet lyrics as all being about drugs (which is understandable, since Dave does often mention drugs) when they're usually about something deeper. I think Dave uses drugs as a metaphor for other things quite often.

General CommentI definitely think it is about drugs, although there are references to pedophilia. Fuck each other's babies is NOT a reference to sex with a young woman as someone mentioned. Slamming and going down into darkness are drug references, or perhaps depression (torture). Keeping a steady hand, hoping for Eden, seems to refer to shooting up. It's a mass of contradictions and hidden messages, as are many of their song lyrics.
