"The Untitled (In The End)" as written by and Greg/nehra Giampa....
One, it multiplies until you can taste the sun
And burn by the sky, you try to take it from
But if it falls, there's no place to run
Crumbling down, it's (so unreal)

They're dealing you in to the term and your end
And sending you back again to places you've been
And bending your will until it breaks you within
And still, they (fill their eyes)

With the twilight, through the skylight
End the highlights on a frame of steel
See the brightness of your likeness as I write this
On a path through (the way I feel)

Hear the screaming, am I dreaming, as it's seeming
That you've played your part
Like you're heartless, take apart this
In the darkness, but I know that

I've tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter
I had to fall
To lose it all
But in the end
It doesn't even matter

I broke down line once there is not what ought to be
Held back by the battles they fought for me
Calling me to be part of their property
And now I see that I (get no chance)

I get no breaks, fakes and snakes
Quickly lead to mistakes
And now the tightrope within slowly starts to thin
I could only hope that they (close their eyes)

With the twilight, through the skylight
End the highlights on a frame of steel
See the brightness of your likeness as I write this
On a path through (the way I feel)

Hear the screaming, am I dreaming, as it's seeming
That you've played your part
Like you're heartless, take apart this in the darkness
But I know that

I've tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter
I had to fall
To lose it all
But in the end
It doesn't even matter

(I put my trust in you
Pushed as far as I can go
For all this
There's only one thing you should know) x3

I've tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter
I had to fall
To lose it all
But in the end
It doesn't even matter

General CommentThis is probably the only Linkin Park song that I like, even though - and you have to admit, it does have an element of the Backstreet Boys about it. It does! Listen to the vocal arrangement, give a manufactured boy band a heavy rock backing track and hey! You have this song. Maybe I'm too jaded...

General CommentI love Linkin Park, they are one of the few new bands that I listen to. And hey Forevergreen, maybe they are kinda boy-bandish, but there albumn has gone over three times platinum. Headbangers such as myself, N'Sync fans, hip hoppers, and even Death Metal Heads listen to Linkin Park. So yeah, they do have various musical elements, but their lyrics are very powerful, and they tell the truth. No matter how hard you try, in the end, it doesn't even matter. Thats the story of my life.

General CommentUh... Forevergreen, I don't hear any similarities between LP and the Backstreet boys. Yes, LP hit it big time, and everyone and their brother is buying their records. Like Acetica said, they have mixed several different types of genres into one group. Electronica, Rock, Alternative ect...(A "Hybrid" of music) That is why it appeals to so many people. But one thing I don't understand is why everyone is calling them the Backstreet Boys of rock. There are a some major differences here. BSB was a manufactured group to appeal to the young demographic. LP was not manufactured, they had to work for their fame. BSB is a group that sings to a track. LP is a band. They perform their own music, not sing to a track.

General CommentOh God don't call them the BSB of rock! LP is more alternative, and like scandor says, they are nothing like BSB. BSB is NOT as depressing as these lyrics, which is why I like In The End so much. And, as scandor says, they are a band. BSB sings to a track (except in concert where a band plays the music), and Linkin Park Plays their own music. I'm not dissing anyone here, but just don't go comparing BSB with Linkin Park...they're nothing alike.

General Commentis that supposed to make me sad or something? am I supposed to cry now? *sighs* it's obvious that you're all just freaked out cause you know that I'm right but you have to deny it so you dont come off as little posers who like a band like n'sync or bsb. just listen to the song for gods sakes...forget about how they look, forget about the guitar in the chorus, forget about the lame ass video for it, and just actually listen to it and stop blindly defending a band that only has 1 halfway decent song...remember, if you dont do that, the terrorists win.

General CommentNo, we just don't care about your opinion on Linkin Park. If we believe that LP isn't popish, then we'll believe that no matter what you say. Just because it's your opinion, it doesn't mean that the world is going to change it's opinion so they can take up your's. I love Linkin Park and even if they do have pop elements, I'll always love their music. I think it's great that they combined so many different styles of music without discrimination.
"..remember, if you dont do that, the terrorists win."
Really! The terriost have taken up the appearences of the memebers of a Linkin Park so they can infest the minds of the youth of America and ultimatly to convert mindless followers to their unholy cause. Next time I see Mike Shinoda I'll be sure to disable his energy mask so I can reveal his true identity as Osama Bin Ladin.

    General CommentYeah.
Love the song, but it's titled wrong.
These lyrics are for "In the End". "Untitled" is a completely different song.
