"Poem To A Horse" as written by Luis Ochoa and Shakira Isabel Mebarak....
You're too far to bring you close
And too high to see below
Just hangin' on your daily dose
I know you never needed anyone
But the rolling papers for your grass
How can you give what you don't have

You keep on aiming for the top
And quit before you sweat a drop
Feed your empty brain
With your hydroponic pot
Start out playing with yourself
You get more fun within your shell
Nice to meet you but I gotta go my way

I'll leave again 'cause I've been waiting in vain
But you're so in love with yourself
If I say my heart is sore
Sounds like a cheap metaphor
So I won't repeat it no more

I rather eat my soup with a fork
Or drive a cab in New York
'Cause to talk to you is harder work

So what's the point of wasting all my words
If it's just the same or even worse
Than reading poems to a horse

You keep on aiming for the top
And quit before you sweat a drop
Feed your empty brain
With your hydroponic pot
I bet you'll find someone like you
'Cause there's a foot for every shoe
I wish you luck but I've other things to do

I'll leave again 'cause I've been waiting in vain
But you're so in love with yourself
If I say my heart is sore
Sounds like a cheap metaphor
So I won't repeat it no more

General Commentthis song is about how this girl's boyfriend does pot all the time, and she gets sick of it, and when she trys to talk to him, it's like reading poems to a horse, he completely doesn't pay attetion. I love it. It's pretty funny if you really listen to the words.

General CommentActualy, she wrote this song because she said that one of her closest friends started to do drugs, so she wrote for him/her... It is definitely my fav song out of Laundry Service... Not necessarily for the drug things, but i think of it as someone who thinks she's the big shit and ignores you... Hahaha

General CommentHow can you say that the song isn't about drugs when it has the fuckin' line "Feed your empty brain with your hydroponic pot" in it?!?!?!?

General CommentThis is a really good song. The text really describes how I used to be :(
Yeah this song could have been about me, but I got lucky and found a girl who convinced me to stop and we're still going strong :)

General Commentim not sure about this song being about Antonio de la rue, cause then there are songs like Te Aviso, Te anuncio, and if thats about him, then i dont think they would still be together. Im pretty sure that all the love songs are about him, but this song my be for a friend she once had or another man in her life that was important to her.

But ashley did pretty much sum it up pretty good.

General CommentDo you think this song could perhaps be about Antonio de la Rua, or is it just written in a general tone? I dont know, i remember hearing Laundry Service was written all about him...
