"Der Meister" as written by Richard Z. Kruspe, Paul Landers, Till Lindemann, Doktor Christian Lorenz, Oliver Riedel and Christoph Doom Schneider....
Lauft!

Weil die Nacht I'm Sterben lag
Verkünden wir den jüngsten Tag
Es wird kein Erbarmen geben
Lauft, lauft um euer Leben

Die Wahrheit ist ein Chor aus Wind
Kein Engel kommt um euch zu rächen
Diese Tage eure letzten sind
Wie Stäbchen wird es euch zerbrechen

Es kommt zu euch als das Verderben

Die Wahrheit ist ein Chor aus Wind
Kein Engel kommt um euch zu rächen
Diese Tage eure letzten sind
Wie Stäbchen wird es euch zerbrechen

General CommentJaeger - if your interpretation is true - the lyrics suggest that Hitler envied the Jews (fuettert sein Geschwuer aus Neid)

General CommentOne of the greatest songs by Rammstein, at least in my opinion.

My InterpretationThe lyrics seem to be heavily inspired by several Torah/Bible passages predicting the End of Days, but I agree that it could easily be about a mob hit, due largely in part to the sound effects inserted into the song. (Besides, on the Day of Final Judgement, what good will it do to run for your life, unless it is said in a mocking way? And let's face it: who is it that would have an "ulcer of envy"?)

However, I find that it can also be about an attack by an "army of darkness" (see Evil Dead, The Mummy Returns, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Sonny, Sora No Otoshimono (warning: will break your brain), Lord Of The Rings, etc.) or even just an invasion (see history, War Of The Worlds, Independence Day, Monsters Versus Aliens, Shadow The Hedgehog, etc.), in which cases the "master" is the "dark summoner", "evil overlord", "commander" or what have you.

My OpinionI am starting to think that these lyrics may relate to the cosmic horror genre. Perhaps the Master is a Lovecraftian god or demigod?
