I heard you crying
Somebody stole my soul
How could I be dying?
I turned twenty five days ago yeah
Were all on the ground just crying out
Would somebody save me please.
I won't, sit around just thinkin' bout, the troubles that tomorrow brings yeah

[Chorus]
I'm dying to be alive yeah
I'm dying to be alive yeah
Lets not go through our lives
With out just dying to be alive

The people you've touched
They way you've touched them
I hope they'd've touched you too.
'cause in this life, its hard to tell
What's false and what is true yea
Were all on the ground just cryin' out
Would somebody save me please
I won't sit around just thinking about
The troubles that tomorrow brings

[Chorus]

And we all come tumbling down
No matter how strong we all return to the ground
Another day gone
A day closer to fate
And soon we'll find it's a little bit too late

The things you see, the way you see them
Will never be seen again
Let's go through life livin' on luck
Betting ten thousand to ten
Mistakes I've made in this life
I can't say why or when
But the thing that's strange is you only live once
I'll never look back again yeah

[Chorus]

And we all come tumbling down
No matter how strong
We all return to the ground
In the days to come you'll say why did I wait
You can't just leave your life up to fate.
You've gotta turn it around before it's too late.

I feel really lame. I downloaded a song ( I have no idea by now what I was TRYING to get ) and I ended up getting this song. You know how some people trick you into downloading something by naming it something else ? Well the name of this song was "Rare and Unreleased, sung by BSB, Britney, 5ive N*SYNC and MORE" and the description says "Linkin Park." Still, I played the song, and it wasn't bad, so I looked here for the lyrics, only to find it was sung by HANSON ?! I feel like a total dork now.

Why? What the heck is wrong with Hanson? If it wasn't a bad song, then why should it matter if it was by Hanson?

    Hanson rules.

I think people think they are weird because of their hair, strange because they are brothers, and they are jealous because hanson was famous at such a young age. what does this song mean??

I love this song. Hanson isn't my favorite "boy band" but I do like their music, and this song is really great.

If you notice the part that says "In the days to come you'll say why did I wait You can't just leave your life up to fate You got to turn it around before it's too late", it's talking about doing what you want, and not giving up.

these are all horrible comments... soo i'm gonna at least throw a good one in... HA. this song - as said above - is about dying to be alive... it just is sayin everyone should have at least one moment when they just love bein there and living. i love the part that taylor sings "And we all come Tumbling down No matter how strong We all return to the ground Another day gone A day closer to fate And soon we'll find it's a little bit too late" it sounds so sweet and innocent like it should be. oh, and to charityb: just go away and read some MEANINGLESS pop crap. sorry... this was a mean post. sorry to all the dumb people in the world... i love you all.

Hanson is the best band ever. all of these songs they write THEMSELVES, and they play their own instruments. How dare you call them a boy band#@!$@#

boy band shmoye band... true, hanson is not a boy band... but when you think about it... neither are boy bands. first of all.... they aren't boys... they're men. and second... they're aren't a band because the true definition of a band is: "A group of musicians who perform as an ensemble." ok, ok... they do perform as an ensemble... but ARE THEY MUSICIANS? defin. of a musician: "One who composes, conducts, or performs music, especially instrumental music." ugh... fine. they are a band. well anyhoo... it's a dumb name... they should be men performers... that's what i'm gonna call them from now on. ^ god, this was a pointless post... sorry.

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.
