"-Human" as written by Jonathan Michael Mclaughlin and Kevin Griffiths....
Don't you leave me Father Time
Take me with you
Tell me does your sun still shine
Come squeeze the world and drip it down my throat...oh yeah
Down my throat again...woooah

You got to breathe man, breathe!
Coming up for air
Breathe man, breathe!
Coming up for air

Touch me so I think I'm here
Skin my senses
Barely breathing
Minus human
Please squeeze the world and drip it down my throat again
Down my throat again...woooah

You got to breathe man, breathe!
Coming up for air
Breathe man, breathe!
Coming up for air

You got to breathe man, breathe!
Coming up for air
Breathe man, breathe!
Coming up for!

General CommentMaybe something about dying, losing the traits of human and becoming divine.

General Commenti get out of this song is about getting caught in the mundane b.s. of your meaningless life and not experiencing anything witht he time you have. it gets to the point where you dont know if you can still go out and have fun anymore or you are just stuck being boring and your time to shine is out. it reminds me of the matrix...a bunch of people leading meaningless existences that aren't really alive. he is calling for someone to show hime what the world has to offer him once again so he can feel alive...so he can breathe

General Commenti think this song plays during a reanimation. There are the sights of the dochtor (or so) and the person who is dying. I also think that the dying person wants to life, althought he may made suicide or so. But now, he want to life. "Please squeeze the world and drip it down my throat again" And the doctor wants to keep him alife " You got to breathe man, breathe " As allready said, my sight

General CommentOne of my favourite Metallica's song!!! and the good thing is that it was one of the last new ones. lets just to the new album be as good as this song and as "no leaf clover" too... another very good one. minus human is heavy, simple in everything and it kicks ass with a nice message :) and it is not as depressing as "fade to black" another great one!!!

General CommentWhen I read over the lyrics, Arthur C. Clarke's Space Odyssey books came to mind... Where the guy got trapped in the star and then turned into the starchild, I thought that might be an interesting twist on the lyrics.

General CommentI'm not gonna guess as to what the lyrics mean, all I know is this is a loose, raw, heavy, ugly song, and I love it. Just kick back and let the raw power blast yer ears out, that's my philosphy.

General CommentCome on? All these tallicats and metalheads and nobody comments on Minus Human? Oh well... I don't really see any underline, hidden meanings worth debating, but hey, you have to admit it sounds cool. Pretty much. Yup. ...And I'm spent.

General CommentIt's an S&M origional. Of COURSE it's great. I wish I could have been at San Fransisco to hear it played live.
For some reason i love the intro the best. For some reason it reminds me of Soviet Russia, with the anvil-like percussion at the start.
