"Luminous Times (Hold On To Love)" as written by and Adam Clayton Dave Evans....
Hey, sister love
Hey, sister soul
Hey, oh my love
You turn me around tonight
Hey, sister love
Save my soul, save my soul

Hold on to love, hold on to love
Love won't let you go
Love won't let you go
Hold on to love
See the sunshine in her soul

Hey, sister love
Hey, seems so bright
She comes like carnival
She is the big wheel
She turned my head around
Turned my head around
She is the speedway
She is the slipstream
She is coming 'round

Hold on to love
Hold on to love
Love won't let you go
Hold on to love
Hold on to love
She the sunlight in her song
See the sunlight in her soul

She is the gun fire
She is the car crash
She is a avalanche
She is the thunder
She is the waves and
She pulls me under

I love you 'cause I need to
Not because I need you
I love you 'cause I understand
That God has given me your hand
He holds me in a tiny fist
And still I need your kiss

Hold on to love
Hold

See the sunlight in her song
See the sunlight in her soul

General CommentI love U2, but this song has never done anything for me. When I first heard it I thought, "Lots of sound and fury signifying nothing." Bono does his best to put some guts into an empty tune here. Sorry to be a poop, but that's what I get from this.

General CommentBack before I got mad at U2, this was one of the songs I loved. I loved to go for walks along the river listening to it. I found it highly motivational 4 what I love to do best.

If it was up 2 me though, I'd throw out the negative lines.

Probably my favourite lyric ever in any song. I agree a bit with PencilNeckedGeek though, its very hit and miss. Apparently it came along too late in the Joshua Tree sessions for them to put enough work to get it onto the album. It's really the bare bones of what could have been an epic.
