Would you be the wind to blow me home
Would you be a dream
On the wings of a poem
And if you were walking through a crowd
You know I'd be proud

[Chorus]
If you call my name out loud
Do you suppose that I would come running
Do you suppose I'd come at all
I suppose I would

And if we were walking
Down a dead end street
Would you be the one to let our eyes meet
Or would you just keep on walking
Down to the turn around
'Cause you know I'd be proud

[Chorus]

And if I was gone from the land we know
Would be the dawn
And let your beauty still show
And if you were walking
And heard the cold night coming
Would you call my name
'Cause you know I'd come running

After I had my daughter and the man that got me pregnant never saw her and still hasn't I felt this song from her perspective. Either him or her. But now I realize that it is her adopted father who calls her name out loud. And what a beautiful name it is. Brought a lot of tears to my eyes. I played it for him when I met him. We have been together since she was nine weeks old. I was separated from the bio since I was five months pregnant. So he has never been around for the birth or anything. Not financially. Nothing. The story gets worse. But that's all I can divulge. The song moved me Into hopes and prayers that she would have a father that loved her, one that wouldn't ignore her existence and would appreciate her. It was an anthem. Miracles happen every day. Don't give up.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
