"Tip" as written by Scott Anderson, James Ryan Black and Arnold David Lanni....
I gave it all I gave it up then
I took it in and got enough but
I try to cancel out
Whatever I can't laugh about

So what does that say
There can't be anyway
I've done my worst and no one knows

One more day to fool them all
One more day to drop the ball
One more day to fade away

Fill a head with sand just to make it better
I had the chance to beat it in but I never
I should have taken it right then

One more day to fool them all
One more day to drop the ball
One more day to fade away

Now you've been taken
You won't stop shaking
Embrace every minute
You're all that's left in it
It's not happening
Some other day you'll fool them all
One more day to drop the ball
One more day to fade away

General CommentThis song has an interesting meaning to me personally. When I was in school, I almost never did school work. I understood it completely, but the work bored me, so instead I just slept. The teachers decided to bug me to death about it, so I just started doing the work. Except the work I was handing in was just answers out of a book I had stolen from the teachers office. And any english was me spewing a lot of creative bullshit. I was conducting an experiment to see how far I could get by fucking around... and I graduated. But everyday, I got paranoid that they were going to find out... sometimes I almost did the work for real a couple of times to try and phase the lie out. Doesn't matter now, though. It's not as if they're going to check. I didn't fight the system, I just fooled it. May sounds cocky, but I am one smart bastard.

General CommentDon't have to be smart to half ass the education system. I did as well...but I'm no genius. They don't care about what they don't see right infront of them.

But yeah, seems like it's about someone surviving day to day not really trying.

My Interpretation"I try to cancel out
    Whatever I can't laugh about"
"I've done my worst and no one knows"
"One more day to fool them all
One more day to drop the ball
One more day to fade away"

It's a song about doing the same thing over and over and failing every time and not being able to improve, but he's been getting away with it every time. Each day he makes the same mistakes and it doesn't seem to matter. Whatever about it he can't enjoy/understand, though, he ignores or "cancels out".

"Fill a head with sand just to make it better
I had the chance to beat it in but I never
I should have taken it right then"

He's had chances to make things better or to make things less stressful/depressing/demanding, but he's always looked over them or disregarded them as unimportant. He sometimes wishes he could go back and take those chances.

My interpretation, sort of a deep song from an awesome album.
