"Temptation Waits" as written by Shirley Ann Manson, Bryan David Vig, Douglas Elwin Erickson and Steve W Marker....
I'll tell you something
I am a wolf but
I like to wear sheep's clothing
I am a bonfire
I am a vampire
I'm waiting for my moment

You come on like a drug
I just can't get enough
I'm like an addict coming at you for a little more
And there's so much at stake
I can't afford to waste
I've never needed anybody like this before

I'll tell you something
I am a demon
Some say my biggest weakness
I have my reasons
Call it my defense
Be careful what you're wishing

You come on like a drug
I just can't get enough
I'm like an addict coming at you for a little more
And there's so much at stake
I can't afford to waste
I've never needed anybody like this before

You are a secret
A new possession
I like to keep him guessing

You come on like a drug
I just can't get enough
I'm like an addict coming at you for a little more
And there's so much at stake
I can't afford to waste
I've never needed anybody like this before

When I'm not sure what I'm living for
When I'm not sure what I'm looking for
(Repeat until end)

General CommentThis is incredible song, done so well by Shirley as always. It was performed on Buffy, and by the lyrics it's clear that it's the perfect song for a supernaturally themed show.

General CommentShe's a bit lost about her purposes for her own life, then she finds this interesting guy and he seems to be everything that she always wanted for fulfilling the emptiness of her life. And now she is dangerously in love with this guy but he doesn't yet seem to realize how 'wild' she is. And she intends to take this obsession to the last consequences. She's ready to make many insane things with him in the bed and she practically will swallow him with her wolflike mouth and her vampirish teeth...

General Commentthis is my favorite garbage song. this is how i felt at the beginning of my relationship, when i didn't really know my boy, but i felt really addicted to him, and wanted to see and know and be with him as much as i could.

General Commentthis song is about finding ones identity as a sugnifigant other has seemed to turn Shirley life so upside down that they have lost it

General CommentI just got it on the Buffy soundtrack.

And oh, wow. It's about putting on an exterior because you have no idea who you really are in some respect.

General CommentI dont know who she wrote this song about : if anybody. I do know Id be afraid to be the one she was after, her love speech seems more like an obsession that will completely devastate her. Seems like the only way this relationship would end is badly, and on her part, possibly suicide.

My OpinionI agree with zythe - it's about putting on a mask in public, one that conceals who you really are.

And this is my interpretation of the song: It's about their individual sexual orientation.

They're not sure which gender they are attracted to, not sure if they're straight, gay, or bi ("When I'm not sure what I'm looking for)."

General CommentThough it comes across obviously about an addictive and craving relationship, it also sounds like a badass woman power song lol
