"I'll Be Your Lover, Too" as written by and Van Morrison....
I'll be your man
I'll understand
Do my best to take good care a you
Yes I will

You'll be my queen
I'll be your king
And I'll be your lover, too
Yes, I will

Derry down green
Color of my dream
A dream that's daily coming true

I'll tell ya
When day is through
I will come to you
And tell you of your many charms

And you'll look at me
With eyes that see
And melt into each other's arms

And so I come
To be the one
Who's always standing next to you

Umm, reach out for me
So I can be alright
The one who's always reaching out for you
Yes I will, yes I will

You'll be my queen
I'll be your king
And I'll be your lover, too.

General CommentI actually heard this song because I heard somebody else talking about it. It's so simple in musical arrangement and instruments yet the passion and emotion in his voice are what makes this song so unique. The fact that his voice cracks a few times makes it better in my opinion. It's real and it's honest. Two qualities that every relationship needs.

General CommentAn awesome Van song. Beautifully romantic and there's that reference to Derry's green hills, Van pining for his roots?

General CommentI agree.. it is a beautiful song.. funny.. but that's the only time I have heard it myself (from the film "Proof of Life") Between seeing the last few moments of the movie, then hearing this song... ughhh it tugs at your emotions.

General CommentThis is my favorite love song. I know this is cheesy-but I want this to be the song that is first played at my wedding...but it is soooo incredibly powerful and passionate...I love it. I love it.

General CommentPerfect song. If anyone's seen the movie The Moonlight Mile, this movie is played during one of the biggest moments in the movie and is absolutely perfect for it. Great song.
