In my defense, all my intentions were good
And heaven owns a place somewhere for the misunderstood
You know I'd give you blood if it'd be enough

Devil's on my doorstep since the day I was born
It's hard to find a sunset in the eye of a storm
But I'm a dreamer by design and I know in time, we'll put this behind

For what it's worth, I'm sorry for the hurt
I'll be the first to say, "I made my own mistakes"
For what it's worth, I know it's just a word and words betray
But sometimes we lose our way
For what it's worth

Behind the lens is a poison picture you paint
And let's not pretend you were ever searching for saints
'Cause I've been crucified for just being alive

Somewhere in the crossfire of this whispering war
Seems that I forgot just what I was fighting for
But underneath my skin there's a fire within
Still burning

For what it's worth, I'm sorry for the hurt
I'll be the first to say, "I made my own mistakes"
For what it's worth, I know it's just a word and words betray
Sometimes we lose our way
For what it's worth

The first bird to fly gets all the arrows
Let's leave the past behind with all our sorrows
I'll build a bridge between us and I'll swallow my pride

For what it's worth, I'm sorry for the hurt
I'll be the first to say, "I made my own mistakes"
For what it's worth, I know it's just a word and words betray
But sometimes we lose our way
For what it's worth

A lean towards the regret from the public spat between Liam and Noel...

"Behind the lens is a poison picture you paint and let's not pretend you were ever searching for saints" - Liam's interpretation that Noel when being filmed and quizzed on the oasis break up portrayed Liam as the crazy destructive, seeking media attention one but when Oasis were starting out that's what they both wanted, only now Noel looks down on this early approach.

"The first bird to fly gets all the arrows" - a reference to Liam's band Beady Eye that were formed soon after the break up of oasis and got shot down from all angles, where Noel got an easier ride after taking time and not rushing into a new band and direction.

"Somewhere in the crossfire of this whispering war Seems that I forgot just what I was fighting for But underneath my skin there's a fire within Still burning" - LIam looking back with tinged regret he was fighting his brother but his fire under his skin will be there regardless who is confrontation is with.

it's about Noel.Their relationship has to be the underlining meaning. Say what you want, for what it's worth

I think the meaning of this song is relatively simple. The song is about his brother, Noel, and that he wants to put the past behind him and move on from the feud that's gone on since the break-up of Oasis.

Liam Gallagher has never ruled out an Oasis reunion and Noel has.

"I'll build a bridge between us and I'll swallow my pride" is a perfect example. Liam has been known for chatting constant shit about his brother and he is ready to take all of it back and doesn't care about the consequences of the inevitable when the media ask him about the situation, because his relationship with Noel means much more to him than his own pride

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
