Should've let you walk away the first time,
instead of letting you walk back through my door.
As if I needed any more, pain.

Oh I've been waiting up so long,
I've been sleeping out so long in the rain.
Rain been falling down.

I've been stressing all the time,
and I can't seem to find,
a little peace of mind!

I guess I'll just vaporize everything that's inside.
I guess I'll just vaporize I, I, I...

I guess I'll just vaporize everything that's inside.
I'm gonna get high, high, high, high, high, high...

Now you want to talk about the hard times,
and all the joy that you bring.
Are you even listening to the strain?

Oh-oh I've been waiting up so long,
I've been sleeping out so long, in the rain.
Rain been pouring down.

I've been stressing all the time,
and I can't seem to find, a little peace of mind.

I guess I'll just vaporize everything that's inside.
I guess I'll just vaporize I, I, I...

I guess I'll just vaporize everything that's inside.
I'm gonna get high, high, high, high, high, high...

There ain't no use in the truth, when the lies are all anyway.
I ain't got no use in the truth, you say.

There ain't no use in the truth, when the lies are all anyway.
I ain't got no use in the truth, you say.

I guess I'll just vaporize everything that's inside.
I'm gonna just vaporize I, I, I...

I'm gonna just vaporize everything that's inside.
I'm gonna get high, high, high, high, high, high...

My OpinionI don't believe the singer, on a spiritual journey, is singing about escape through cannabis. He wants to vaporize his inner world to transcend with the healing dimensions of Ayahuasca. His pain takes him to the Amazon where in search of a shaman he sleeps out in the pouring rain in his jungle trek. The title song "Spirit", also speaks with the singer's strong desire for a life altering experience guiding him to higher places and his purpose.

I hear it in "Hurt Me", - he asks to be "broken down", as well as in "One Lonely Light" - in becoming one with nature, which opens the gateway to the spiritual wold's secrets. Beautiful themes of a lost, creative spirit, a desire to heal and its medicine, run throughout the songs in this album.
