[Verse 1]
Whisper my name
I will find you, I will fly
In my mind I feel you inside
As I slide over the sky
I will find you, oh and I

[Chorus 1]
And I know I’d only let you down
And I know you won’t stick around
But I'll make sure
I'll keep you coming to my door

[Verse 2]
Dust from your hair
Small splinter from your back
Will keep my raging mind in check
My sweet heart, each curse, every crime
Your thoughts, your thoughts
Are mine mine mine mine mine

[Chorus 2]
And I know I’d only let you down
And I know you won’t stick around
But I'll make sure, I'll keep you coming back
And the taste of wine is oh so sweet
And I'm going to sweep you off your feet
Just take my hand, just take my small, sweet hand

[Bridge]
Say the words now you realize, you are my soul
Speak the spell, the one with starry eyes, to paralyze
Now sing, this song
Now sing sing along

[Chorus]
And I know I’d only let you down
And I know you won’t stick around
But I'll make sure, I'll keep you coming back
And the taste of wine is oh so sweet
And I'm going to sweep you off your feet
Just take my hand
Just take my small, sweet hand

My InterpretationI feel like this song is about being led on, strung along, or on the back-burner by someone whom won't let you go. The love interest has gotten inside the other's head and knows how to keep him/her from getting over it.

I was led on by someone in much the same way that this song describes. On New Year's Day, she gave me wine (and chocolate), had me dance with her on the sidewalk ("take my hand"), and swept me off my feet. At 1am, she told me she had a boyfriend. By then, of course, it was too late; I was in love and held out hope as what we had was a "special" relationship. I'm finally trying to distance myself, but she continues to find ways to draw me back in. Haven't had a full-night's sleep since December.
