"Ratcliff" as written by and Bundick Chazwick Bradley....
A doctor and her lover settled in a Ratcliff home
Taking day trips to Bolinas, they can barely see the road
She says, "My meeting's cancelled, in the morning we'll stay
So baby, please wait

Let me give you a hug until this is the light, touch your eyes
Or at least 'til the song finishes and we still try to sing along
Rock and roll is here to stay

A boy who sings about how he's in a squeeze
Ends up with oranges and an onion to greet
She wears those earrings almost every day
[?]
Everything seems so simple, you can't tell if it's basically fake
[?]
Cars on the edge passing him off the hill

Let me give you a hug until this is the light, touch your eyes
Or at least 'til the song finishes and we still try to sing along
Rock and roll is here to stay

My InterpretationI think this may be about a female doctor whose job is very draining, but her lover is one of the things that keeps her going. Finally going on vacation and getting away from the world.

I'm not sure what Chaz means by "Rock and roll is here to stay", but I definitely think that it is a reference to Big Star's Thirteen which is a lyric from that song. Chaz has mentioned in the past that he likes Big Star and draws some inspiration from them.
