O-H-I-O I owe it to you
There’s nothing better than knowing where you come from
Here we go Browns, here we go
O-H-I-O
Here we go Browns, here we go woo woo

I grew up in the Styx
Small town Eerie canal
Tuscarawas Valley class clowns and dairy cows
Sometimes you know it's getting better than it is right now

Well it is simple there’s a chance to let it all take place
And watch the life around you shed some life upon your face
I wish it didn’t take me all this time to figure it out

O-H-I-O
Now everybody say, “Let’s hear it for the Cleveland Browns!”
Before the Cuyahoga River burns the whole downtown
Sandusky summertime is 45 minutes away

O-H-I-O
They do karate while we’re setting up and checking the sound
Someone signing along with ??? so you say
Sandusky summertime is 45 minutes away

O-H-I-O
Here we go Browns here we go woo woo
O-H-I-O
Here we go Browns here we go
There’s nothing better than knowing where you come from

I watched the generation to grow up and graduate
There’s all this light around you oh how you radiate
But oh, what you gonna do? Oh no, what you gonna do?

Well if it’s simple there’s a chance to let it all take place
And watch the life around you shed some life upon your face
I swear I feel it in me, I’m telling you it’s true

O-H-I-O
Now everybody say, “Let’s hear it for the Cleveland Browns!”
Before the Cuyahoga River burns the whole downtown
Sandusky summertime is 45 minutes away

O-H-I-O
Mrs. Hippopotamuses’ is our water park mission
We’ll ride the rollercoasters over every holiday
Sandusky summertime is 45 minutes away

O-H-I-O
Here we go Brownies, here we go woo woo
O-H-I-O I owe it to you
Here we go Browns here we go
There’s nothing better than knowing where you come from

General CommentWhen Relient K was formed, the members were still in high school in Canton, Ohio.

This song seems to be a recognition of the band's geographical roots, with references to the local cities, bodies of water, and their beloved Cleveland Browns.

I also can feel a recognition of the band's emotional roots too. Leaving high school and facing the world is a big step in everybody's life. I can't imagine trying to make it as a musician during all of that. I'm glad they believed in themselves.
