Step on up to this
Step, step on up to this
Step on up to this crazy love

Hey, I'm classy but I don't mind if YOU get at me
Its okay to get nasty, just the way that you like
You say I'm sexy, so bad, they should arrest me
You can't forget me, gave you the time of your life

What you need, hey, is a number one
Can't you see, babe, I've got what you've been waiting for?
What you need, babe, is a work of art
What you need, babe, come get it, I got it

Step on up to this
Step, step on up to this
Step on up to this crazy love
Step on up to this
Step, step on up to this
Step on up to this crazy love

Hey, I'm waiting, standing here with my ladies
No shade, in chasing, if we got what you have
Don't stop, keep moving, 'cause I love what you doing
Let's ride to this music, have the time of your life

What you need, hey, is a number one
Can't you see, babe, I've got what you've been waiting for?
What you need, babe, is a work of art
What you need, babe, come get it, I got it

Step on up to this
Step, step on up to this
Step on up to this crazy love
Step on up to this
Step, step on up to this
Step on up to this crazy love

Don't be ashamed, any time, any place
Let him know that you got it like that
Love him real good, and you treat him like you should
You're gonna keep him coming right back
Don't be ashamed, any time, any place
Let him know that you got it like that
Love him real good, and you treat him like you should
Gonna keep him coming right back

What you need, hey, is a number one
Can't you see, babe, I've got what you've been waiting for?
What you need, babe, is a work of art
What you need, babe, come get it, I got it

Step on up to this
Step, step on up to this
Step on up to this crazy love
Step on up to this
Step, step on up to this
Step on up to this crazy love

Don't be ashamed, any time, any place
Let him know that you got it like that

Ariana Grande wants you to know that there’s nothing wrong with expressing your sexuality in this song, a message that I really vibe with. No slut shaming here! Like many of her songs, Ariana is embracing her sexuality and inviting others to enjoy it with her. Similar to “God is a Woman” in particular, this female sexuality empowerment song wants every woman out there to remember the goddess she is and refuse to let anyone treat her like any less. Between calling herself “a number one” and “a work of art,” Ariana is making sure that you know that she deserves appreciation and encourages her audience to “step on up” to her level.

This song is def a twin to "Unfair" (a song she has been quoted as saying is about falling in love with someone who is already in a relationship) so it is presumably about the same person. Given the references to buying an apartment and not being able to see her love interest "after tonight," it's most likely that she's moving away and she'll "wait a day to break the bad news" (i.e. notifying him that she's leaving once she's already gone). And, of course, the fact that she sees in him a fellow "idealist" and "dreamer" (terms commonly given to people with the INFP personality on the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)) portends that she'll always be left wondering if they would've been perfect together.

This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
