Coming out to the light of day
We got many moons that are deep at play
So I keep an eye on the shadow's smile
To see what it has to say
You and I both know
Everything must go away
Ah, what do you say?
Spinning knot that is on my heart
It's like a bit of light and a touch of dark
You got sneak attacked from the zodiac
But I see your fire spark
Eat the breeze and go
Blow by blow and go away
Oh, what do you say?

Yeah, you don't know my mind
You don't know my kind
Dark necessities are part of my design and
Tell the world that I'm falling from the sky
Dark necessities are part of my design

Stumble down to the parking lot
You got no time for the afterthought
They're like ice cream for an astronaut
Well that's me looking for we
Turn the corner and
Find the world at your command
Playing the hand

Yeah, you don't know my mind
You don't know my kind
Dark necessities are part of my design
Tell the world that I'm falling from the sky
Dark necessities are part of my design

Do you want this love of mine?
The darkness helps all to shine
Do you want it, do you want it now?
Do you want it all the time?
The darkness helps us all to shine
Do you want it, do you want it now?

Pick you up like a paperback
With the track record of a maniac
So I move it in and we unpack
It's the same as yesterday
Any way we roll
Everything must go away
Ah, what do you say?

Yeah, you don't know my mind
You don't know my kind
Dark necessities are part of my design
Tell the world that I'm falling from the sky
Dark necessities are part of my design

Ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah

    My Interpretation

i want to say firstly that english is not my native language, so i can't understand all the lyrics. you also may find some grammar mistakes in my comment, i'm sorry.

Coming out to the light of day (when he seems to be ordinary) We got many moons than a deeper place (i'm not sure, but i think it means they got many aspirations like people will understand them or just visionary views) So I keep an eye on the shadow's smile To see what it has to say (but he knows he's not ordinary and he likes it) You and I both know Everything must go away Ah, what do you say? (everything is ephemeral and people won't understand this even if they know. but he has courage to say it) Spinning off, head is on my heart (he can't choose between listening to his heart or his head) It's like a bit of light and a touch of dark (his white mind and black soul) You got sneak attacked from the zodiac (i really don't know. when ordinary people realise that their future is in their hands, not in stupid things like zodiac. this is like a reality's fist on their faces, like an attack) But I see your eyes spark (he knows people will remain unresponsable) Keep the breeze and go Blow by blow and go away Oh, what do you say? (they still get reality fists in their faces which are like blows, but they still stay in their lie and start to disappear)

Yeah, you don't know my mind You don't know my kind Dark necessities are part of my design (i think this is very clear) Tell the world that I'm falling from the sky (he doesn't care of people's opinions) Dark necessities are part of my design

Stumble down to the parking lot (???) You got no time for the afterthought (he has to be quick and to trust his decisions as he could regret later) They're like ice cream for an astronaut (they seem to be very strange to him) Well that's me looking for weed (but the real strange is he) Turn the corner and Find the world and show command Playing the hand (people's meaningless pride)

Do you want this love of mine? The darkness helps to sort the shine (well, it's actually "darkness helps us all to shine") Do you want it, do you want it now? Do you want it overtime? The darkness helps us all to shine Do you want it, do you want it now? (he finds himself lonely and tries to explain his strangeness as he may find his love)

Pick you up like a paperback (like people are very superficial? idk) With the track record of a maniac (he can be himself, a maniac, with music) So I'm moving in and we unpack It's the same as yesterday (he has to leave as he couldn't make friends) Honey where we roll (it's "anywhere we roll". these lyrics are wrong.) Everything must go away Ah, what do you say? (like anyway people will try to hide the truth, this exists)

so, this song is about being strange and lonely, judged by people.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
