Forged in fruit
Forged in fruit
Forged in fruit
Forged in fruit

Forged in fruit, the journey continues
No more chewing on somebody's sinews
Thankful for the illness, discomfort, and pain
I could see there was so much more to gain
I struggled when it was simply a diet
At one time, I looked on meat—"Oh, let's try it"
Then came connection and compassion
And veganism became an all-consuming passion
I look upon all life as precious, to be treasured
Such love felt for animals cannot be measured
I live my life according to my conscience
No more meat-eating or skin-buying a penchant
Swim against the tide of immorality
Meat-eating's so accepted but is far from normality
Grow strong and wise on veggies and fruits
Feel it in your heart, to your very roots
The unnecessary slaughter of others
And tearing babies away from their mothers
For what?
A snack, a meal, no big deal?
Allow your heart to soften and heal
Feel that connection flow
And love for all lifeforms grow
Go vegan, I say
Start a fresh today
What will people say?
Does it matter?
It's the right way
Feel it beat
Within your soul
Step up and fill that vegan role
Yeah, yeah, yeah

Forged in fruit
Forged in fruit
Forged in fruit

Go vegan
