Welcome to a land
Where no one is free
And no one is brave
With a system so flawed
It can no longer be sustained
The foundation built by our founding fathers
Has gone done in flames
Every word written to protect your rights
Has been buried in their fucking graves

You could have seen this coming
If you would have paid attention
But you just blindly followed
And played their fucking game
You let the propaganda poison your mind
Now you're just a slave
A number without a name

You're all cowards
You'll do whatever they say
You think they'll keep you safe
You're all cowards
We'll see how safe you are when you wake up in chains

Who will you follow?
Who will you follow now?
It's time to break the chains
We cannot live this way
We have to break the chains
It's time to break the chains

Everything's been falling apart
Right before your eyes
You never cared enough form the start
You believed every single lie
Where is your voice?
Where are your guns?
They've taken everything

Now you have nothing

It's time to man up & stand up for what you know is right
And realize that it's vital that we all stay alive
We are the voice of the people
And it's our choice to be lethal
Against the forces of evil
So freedom will survive

Who will you follow?
Who will you follow now?

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
