Here we are
Riding the sky
Painting the night with sun
You and I, Mirrors of light
Twin flames of fire
Lit in another time and place

I knew your name
I knew your face
Your love and grace
Past and present now embrace
Worlds collide in inner space
Unstoppable, the song we play

Burn the page for me
I cannot erase the time of sleep
I cannot be loved so set me free
I cannot deliver your love
Or caress your soul so
turn that page for me
I cannot embrace the touch that you give
I cannot find solice in your words
I cannot deliver you your love
or caress your soul

Age to age
I feel the call
Memory of future dreams
You and I, riding the sky
Keeping the fire bright
From another time and place

I know your name
I know your face
Your touch and grace
All of time can not erase
What our hearts remember stays
Forever on a song we play

Burn the page for me
I cannot erase the time of sleep
I cannot be loved so set me free
I cannot deliver your love
Or caress your soul so
turn that page for me
I cannot embrace the touch that you give
I cannot find solice in your words
I cannot deliver you your love
or caress your soul

    General Commentmy take....
    The song is about two twins that loved each other dearly and one day suddenly one of them dies. The other twin cannot believe what has happened and struggles as his world is turned upside down. Over the years he has become cold and distant and never really feels happiness. He loses his soul to the darkness. He hopes that one day he will see his twin again.

    General CommentUsually love songs are sung by the lover to the person who’s being loved. To me this song does the complete opposite, it is written by the person receiving the love. And unfortunately, the love isn’t mutual. “Turn that page for me.” I can see the receiver begging the lover to forget about them because they simply cannot love them back. However, I can see the respect and -platonic- love that the receiver has for the lover, and how they don’t want to hurt them anymore, so it would be better for them to separate.

    Alternative:
    A love song between an angel and a demon, and it is sung by the demon.

    General CommentAlternatives:
    Two tender lovers separated by tragic circumstance and misunderstandings, or by great responsibilities, like:
    Alan Rufus and Eadgifu the Fair;
    Alan again and Gunhildr Harold’s daughter;
    Abelard and Héloise;
    Lady White Jasmine and a young prince of the Éireann.

    Or:
    Kindred spirits separated by a gulf of time or space.
    Ships that pass in the night.
    A brilliant collaboration that was all too short.
