The man with the eyes that are dead
And the woman who knew what was next
He speaks to the world, pays for his sins with a gold doubloon
Blink once for I’m guilty, twice for we know

The pieces fit together like so many arms and legs
Lifeless, limbless, body returns
And all we can do is search for a head to scratch

Blink once for I’m guilty
Blink twice for we know

My InterpretationCould it possibly be amount someone who was found guilty for a crime they did not commit? Possibly from the false testimony of a woman (or is the woman a juror?)

The title seems to suggest that the worms will feed upon their "dead' body (dead literally or probably more in the sense they are defeated / dead inside).
