Sometimes the congregation takes the other side
An inquisition of familiar lies
A grave distraction from our quiet right

Sometimes the congregation can’t make up its mind
Incarceration creeps up from behind
The implication is its own device
In the middle of a salient fight

Sometimes congregation can’t be satisfied
Can’t be bothered with the ways and whys
Generations like their ways and times

General CommentThis song reminds me of my upbringing in a religious cult similar to the Mormons. Wonder if their congregation is the same as what I am thinking and what I experienced. If it was, they did a FABULOUS job of expressing the feelings a congregation can do to you and understanding your place in it.
