And the script reads,
"Your name right here,
says something rude to me,
rude to me, rude to me"
I don't think about it
I don't linger on it
rude to me, rude to me, rude to me

I'm not hurt, I'm a resilient bastard
I'm okay, I'll wait another day
I'm not scared, I'm just unaware
or I just don't care

And the book reads,
"My name right here,
says something stupid again"
I don't think about it
I don't linger on it
stupid, stupid, stupid

I'm not hurt, I'm a resilient bastard
I'm okay, I'll wait another day
I'm not scared, I'm just unaware
or I just don't care

I'm not hurt, I'm a resilient bastard
I'm okay, I'll wait another day
I'm not scared, I'm just unaware
or I just don't care

General CommentThe narrator is describing a role play scenario in therapy, and reading a self-help book. They're being taught coping skills and they're trying their best because they really want to get better, but the situation is kind of silly. They're still hot-headed about things and practicing their resilient coping skills through clenched teeth.
