In a way he feels like he’s Adam and she’s Eve. She seduced him and he fell in love with her. Through reincarnation, he’s still searching for his Eve.) He wants her to find her way to him) Shine until there's nothing left but you (He wants to bring out the best in her. He wants her to shine so bright that he won’t be able to see anything besides her, because he’s been in the dark for so long) Heaven above me, take my hand Shine until there's nothing left but you (I think the song is about true love, but mostly soulmates. You can be in a relationship and feel like you love someone. You go through the routine of the relationship and marriage. Having kids. Raising kids. But a part of you will always feel a little bit empty once you’ve met your true soulmate. It doesn’t always work out with them, and sometimes you can’t even be friends anymore. You let them go and they let you go. A few years pass and you realize that they’re all you ever needed in your life. You wonder if you’ll ever see them again. When you finally do meet them, even if you were reincarnated, you know your souls will recognize each other and have a special connection that no one else can see or understand.
