"Atmosphere" as written by Finn Bjarnson, Finn Bjarnson, Ryan Raddon, Ryan Raddon, Kenneth Nathaniel N Pyfer and Mckay Robert ...
When I was young I would stand alone
With visions of worlds that were all my own
The lights in the sky weren't that far away
Living in the vastness of outter space

All my life I've been a star
Holding a light up in the dark
While I try to keep clear
Of all the waves in your atmosphere

All my life I've been a star
Holding a light up in the dark
While I try to keep clear
Of all the waves in your atmosphere
Of all the waves in your atmosphere
Of all the waves in your atmosphere

When I was young I could hear the sound
A melody pure and a rhythm loud
Oh, this sound took me away
Carried through the vastness of outer space

All my life I've been a star
Holding a light up in the dark
While I try to keep clear
Of all the waves in your atmosphere

All my life I've been a star
Holding a light up in the dark
While I try to keep clear
Of all the waves in your atmosphere
Of all the waves in your atmosphere
Of all the waves in your atmosphere

Of all the waves in your atmosphere
Of all the waves in your atmosphere
Of all the waves in your atmosphere

General CommentTo me this song is about Kaskade's progression into music itself. This has been mentioned to be the first song he has ever had his own vocals in. In which, he said it wasn't so much about his vocal's, but more of the emotion of the song. He claims this is a very emotional song to him.

With that being said, I think of this song as him just making music like anyone else. Just being a fan and contributing to the art and the progression of his career. In his music video, there is a photo booth in which he has his picture taken. In the beginning of the video he is in the booth alone with cut scenes of his fans taking their own photos singing along. By the end of the video he appears from the crowd and ends up crowd surfing, which to me inspires a "why me" feeling. Towards the end of the video he's seen walking away from the photo booth by himself, to me leaving a sense of modesty in that he is just like anyone else. Sort of a snapshot of where he is at today.

"When I was young I would stand alone
With visions of worlds that were all my own
The lights in the sky weren't that far away
Living in the vastness of outer space"

Just like anyone else making music on their own. Popularity not being so farfetched, but no where near it himself or being able to contribute to the music industry the way he wanted..

"All my life I've been a star
Holding a light up in the dark
While I try to keep clear
Of all the waves in your atmosphere"

Maybe he looks back in retrospect about the music he created and himself that he really is a great artist, but just wants to contribute what he enjoys. Music in itself. To me it also sort of inspires hope to people out there still making music in their basements or bedrooms that it's possible to bring it to the stage one day.

"When I was young I could hear the sound
A melody pure and a rhythm loud
Oh, this sound took me away
Carried through the vastness of outer space"

His progression on where he is today and his journey through life making music.

Again, this is the overall tone I get from the song, and my interpretation of probably one of his greatest songs. Amazing song, amazing artist.
