"Failure" as written by and Benjamin Burnley....
Life will come our way,
It has only just begun.
The world will die alone
The frail will fall below.

Time will take our place.
We return it back to one
The calm before the cold,
The long and lonely road.

Look for the light that leads me home.

Tired of feeling lost, tired of letting go.
Tear the whole world down, tear the whole world down.
Failure.

Drive the cloud away,
We will fall from last to none.
The dark before the dawn,
The war will carry on.

Look for the light that leads me home.

Tired of feeling lost, tired of letting go.
Tear the whole world down, tear the whole world down.
Tired of wasting breath, tired of nothing left.
Tear the whole world down, tear the whole world down.
Failure.

Tired of feeling lost, tired of letting go.
Tear the whole world down, tear the whole world down.
Tired of wasting breath, tired of nothing left.
Tear the whole world down, tear the whole world down.

We bury the sunlight (failure), we bury the sunlight (failure).
Failure! Failure.
We bury the sunlight (failure), we bury the sunlight (failure).
Failure! Failure.

Failure.

My InterpretationAfter their hiatus that lasted what seems like an eternity, this is by far one of the best comebacks I've ever heard. It is definitely one of my favorites by them and the message it holds is awesome. There's not a doubt in my mind that this song is meant to be for that person that's down on their luck and can't seem to do anything right. The whole song is Ben basically listing things that most people have experienced in their lives that made them feel like a "failure" and at the same time, it motivates the listener to push forward through the hell they're going through and start over which is what he means by "tear the whole world down". If you can overcome it and move on, you can say "farewell" to the failure that you thought yourself to be as it's said in the tail end of the song when Ben says in the background "so long" parallel to saying "failure". Truly, this is an amazing song inside and out from the instruments, to the lyrics, and to what it all means. What a great way to start off the Breaking Benjamin comeback!!

General CommentI've waited so long for Ben to get back to what he's truly gifted at. This song is about just being frustrated with life, feeling like you'll never be good enough.

General CommentThis is like a sequel to I Will Not Bow. Instead of being selfish, you focus on yourself to the point of recognizing that life gets better and all of life isn't bad. "Life will come our way" - the good and the bad! Dismissing the people who failed you, who called you Failure, and the moments of failing. If we don't fail we can't grow so it's okay to fail! The point is to grow from our failure and thank the past for leading U.S. Into a better present and future!!

General CommentPretty sure this song is about suicide.

The "world" is basically the life of the hypothetical singer, as his life is his whole world, and he's going to "tear the whole world down" because he's "tired" of being a failure. The "failure" at the end of the chorus is like him saying it to himself, "You are a failure." He's looking for the "light" that leads him "home", most likely his hope for him to return to the place of light from which he was created, his home.

General CommentAnd it's mostly about the lousy ways of my contInment.. A people's "respect" a cities "future needs" "protection" policies, feelings..couldn't hate something worse

MemoryYeah you so far have been completely wrong..
Failure is the hope that I'll never have to see your faces again.. If I can start enough shot, just to be sure you won't come back.. At least not for very much fun or too long...

Life will come our way, it has only just begun. The world will die alone the frail will fall below( maybe if I try hard enough I can change my future.. Maybe there's someway to hurt or change you... Everybody here deserves that)

Time will take our(my) place we return it back to one(me) the calm before the cold(comfort but reminded inside of a horrible cold very lonely feeling)but it's better than within and if you)

Look for the light that leads me home( again hopefully there's a chance, your no fun!)

Tired of what you've made me do, tired every second of losing them( something/anything else. Just to lose you again and again..)

And finally. Tear my whole world down tear my whole world down .
    Failure

Tired of wasted breath(love) Always nothing left.

They bury our sunlight. Don't bury our (sun) light:FAILURE... Failure!
