EPIC RAP BATTLES OF HISTORY!
STEVEN SPIELBERG!
VERSUS!
ALFRED HITCHCOCK!
BEGIN!

Steven:
Picture a child sitting next to a projector
Learning from your films to become a much better directer
Now picture a three billion dollar dream machine
Who can block bust all over your crop duster scene!
Try to duel with me, Alfred? You must be psycho
Ill bring back jaws and take a bite of your lifeboat
Im Always so on top of my game, I get the vertigo
My jets in the terminal waiting for me to Murder! ya!
I rock the Academy and the DGA
You rock as many Oscars as that schlep Michael Bay!
Next time you're filling up those jowls with three steaks and souffles
Check the trades and see me Amblin to my next big play!
I produce cartoons and make games for all ages
You produced Jimmy Stewart making 1 of 2 faces!
Maybe next time I visit, you'll be a bit more gracious
Now kiss my full moon and just bask in my greatness!

Hitchcock:
That was a close encounter of the turd kind
But there wont be a pretty ending this time
Half of your billions should go to John Williams
Now brace yourself as I reveal my brilliance!
Im the master of suspense! So intense!
No defense against Hitchcock once he presents!
My skill's enormous, orchestrate brilliant performance
You're more horrible than Megan Fox's acting in Transformers
C'mon! Fish puppets and muppets to stir the fears up?
I squeeze screams out of chocolate syrup!
Im the best Mamma Jamma who ever stood behind the camera
Damage panderers and haunt you like the last Indiana!

Tarantino:
CUT! Gimme a Tylenol, stop rhyming ya'll
Alfred you got no style, dog, im the king of dialogue
There's only one movie I know you from
And iv'e seen more blood in the shower when I stub my toe in one
You tried to fight in World War I, but couldnt do that
The British army wouldnt let you join because you were too fat
Look it up, its a true fact! Wikipedia that!
Now allow me to attack Steven the hack
Due to War of the Worlds, a failure's what I label you
It looked like some sell out bullshit Michael Bay would do
Ask anybody, Whats your favorite Sam Jackson part?
No one's gonna say: Whats his name? From Jurassic Park?
The scripts that I write aint the cleanest (FUCK!)
But when I grip mics im the meanest (DICK!)
Quentin Tarantino is a genius
A bad motherfucker from the wallet to the penis

Kubrick:
Genius is a powerful word but there's no reason to use it
Unless you're talking about the Kubrick then theres really nothing to it
Everything I do is visionary, every single frame a panting
Made exactly how I wanna make it
Do another take and get it right, 127 times
Ill make you learn to love me, Im the bomb! Drop ultra-violent rhymes
Like Clockwork, make you all hurt! Beat Spielberg, the color purple!
A.I is the worst wasted potential since the ninja turtles!

Bay:
Thats enough! Iv'e heard enough crap from all of you!
Why don't I come down there and show you what a REAL star can do?
I swoop low with the telephoto
No Bruckheimer, I work solo
If there's one thing I learned bitch
This game's about MOTHERFUCKING MONEY!
I make that dollar y'all! MOTHERFUCKING MONEY!
Even make Mark Wahlberg make some MOTHERFUCKING MONEY!
I set up shop and got a few drops of that Got Milk money
Rose to the rock and now I got socks made of silk money!
I aint got that guilt money, I dont give a fuck!
I take my checks to the bank and I sign 'em with my nuts!
I give the people what they love while the critics say im evil!
Got no time to read reviews, while im working on the sequel!
I got a gift from above and the eyes of an eagle!
When it comes to blowing up, no directer is my equal!

WHO WON?
WHO'S NEXT?
YOU DECIDE!
EEEEE- *explosion* -PIC RAP BATTLES OF HISTORY!

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
