COME ON!!!

Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, ohhhh

We won't be young for long
Tomorrow might be gone
Why are wasting all this time with words
When you know me

Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, ohhhh
Oh, oh, ohh

Baby, this depends on you
You know what I've been through
I can't be wasting all my time with words
When you know me

Now I'm not asking you for much (Whoa)
But what I need baby,
Is just please come lay back down
All your power's in your touch (Whoa)
So... Put your hands on me!

Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, ohhh

I'm gonna be upon my knees
Begging you, oh please
Still, you won't give me what I need
Oh baby, you know me

I'm not asking you for much (Whoa)
But what I need baby,
Is just please come lay back down
All your power's in your touch (Whoa)
Put your hands on me!
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Put your hands on me!!!

Ooh, come on!!

*Breakdown*

So honey, please just come lay down
To places you can choose
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa
'Cause somewhere deep inside
I know you need it too
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, oh, oh

I wanna see who you are
Sometimes we go too far
What your fingertips kiss
It's leaving so much to miss
And I know, that you're cold
And you know, that this is old
But I've been by myself too long
To know what's wrong
Or if we'll make it!!!!

Ohhh, I'm not asking you for much (Whoa)
But what I need baby,
Is just please come lay back down
All your power's in your touch (Whoa)
Put your hands on me!
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Put your hands on me!!!
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Put your hands on me!

Now I'm asking please!!!
I know the answer's no
Do what you feel
But let me feel what you do!!
Now I'm asking please!!!
I know the answer's no
Do what you feel
But let me feel what you do!!

Touching my skin (x7)

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
