It’d be nice if we could make a name for ourselves. It shouldn’t be so hard in such a small town. Just got to give it all away at every show and quit giving up. Take time to make friends out of the indifferent, and gotta make more noise than a grizzly bear with a chainsaw and hope they saw the mess we left behind.

And I don’t know were good ideas come from and maybe I don’t wanna know, but I just wanna write a song that you’d enjoy to listen on your record player at home, or in your car if it’s got a stereo.

And it’s a reckless life that we’ve chosen to lead, but it’s a small price to pay to do what we do. I got the rhythm if you got the lead and we can hammer something out. And I don’t know where good ideas come from, or maybe I do, but I pretend like I don’t, but I just wanna write a song that you’d enjoy to listen on your record player at home, with your ear against the hardwood floor.

Making friends with other musicians in such a small town is such an eye opening experience. Discover the world is full of ideas and poets, like shepherds amassing a flock, but I don’t really give a flock about all that right now, cause right now I’m home. Cause there’s a place where good ideas come from, and it’s here in the world we all share. It’s all we can do to shout about it in a song we hope you’re taking home and hope you hear it on the radio. That’d be nice.
