"Don't You Find?" as written by Anna Lisa Graham and Anthony Martin....
Don't you find, some of the time
There is always someone on your mind
That shouldn't be at all
In any place or any kind

Don't you find, some of the time
There is always someone on your mind
That shouldn't be at all
In any place or any kind

She sailed long ago
To a land far away
Overseas, she'll be
In a land of opportunity

I don't know where she rolls
I don't know how she be
I know that I'll see
Sweet young thing one day before I go

Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh

And I give what I've got
And what I've got, I got to give
And I still where I live
We're nothing all the years

And I fall from it all
And I lose as I win
And I'll know where I go
It's got nothing more for me no more

Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Don't you find, some of the time
There is always someone on your mind
That shouldn't be at all
In any place or any kind

Don't you find, some of the time
There is always someone on your mind
That shouldn't be at all
In any place or any kind

Don't you find
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh

General CommentFor me this song is about falling in love/having feelings for someone you shouldn't, say because they are already in a relationship with someone else. Like Buzzcocks '''Ever fallen in love...''. evident from-

Don't you find, some of the time
There is always someone on your mind
    That shouldn't be at all
In any place or any kind

    The next bit-

    She sailed long ago
    To a land far away
    Overseas, she'll be
    In a land of opportunity

Is her moving away from him with this other person. Land of opportunity means America, maybe she's gone there or maybe it's just meant to represent her moving ''metaphorically'' very far away, I don't know which I'm not mates with Jamie T...

I don't know where she rolls
I don't know how she be
    I know that I'll see
Sweet young thing one day before I go

He doesn't what she's doing now but still thinking about her...

''I know that I'll see sweet young thing one day before I go''..

He dreams he will see her at least one more time before he ''goes'' (dies) even though this is unlikely. However, he can't live without the hope that he'll never see her again, even if it is just once, so he tries to convince/say to himself that he'll definitely see her again even though he probably won't, but he's got to have that possibility in his head.

''and I give what I've got...It's got nothing more for me no more

he know he has to move on there's nothing that can be done with the situation.....

    and yet...

'Don't you find, Don't you find, some of the time
There is always someone on your mind
    That shouldn't be at all
In any place or any kind

Even though he knows he's gotta leave it and move on as she's with someone else and moving on, she keeps coming back into his head. He can't help thinking about her and wishing she was his and it's hard

    Fucking brilliant tune.
