Wait just a-
Wait just a-
Wait just a-
Wait just a-
Wait just a-
Wait just a-
Wait just a-

(We've just enough room for landing?)
Vegas, baby
By your captain, I'm Uncle Kracker
Vegas, baby
And as we're start our descent into fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada
Vegas, baby
I'd like you to please keep your seatbelts fastened
Vegas, baby
'Cause anything can happen, and one more thing,
You didn't see me here.

Cut your engines, cool your wings,
And hit the runway, we've only got 'til Sunday
There's only one way to lay me down easy,
I got a need to live sleazy, believe me
It's all game, no shame, no pain,
The limo's out front past baggage claim.
Pop a bottle, give me something to sip,
And hop the fifteen to the strip.

We're high rollers so we can't buy cabanas
Sipping (anna?) drinks with some chicks from Atlanta
She says her names Anna, but I know she's lyin'
(Aren't you Uncle Kracker?) No, I'm Simon.
And I'll be fine when I'm comped all stay,
All day, all night, always
(?) three wheel spin,
Turn like them free-wheel rims
Got a room with a view, Presidential suite,
But ain't nobody even trying to sleep
They say what happens here stays here, right?
Well I ain't even sayin' what I did last night, c'mon

(We've just enough room for landing?)
Vegas, baby
By your captain, I'm Uncle Kracker
Vegas, baby
And as we're start our descent into fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada
Vegas, baby
I'd like you to please keep your seatbelts fastened
Vegas, baby
'Cause anything can happen, and...
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain,
Asking that you do not remain seated
And keep your arms and legs inside at all times

From the room to the floor to the table to the case
To the limo to the door to the floor to the stage
From the limo to the bar to the club with the whales,
You can take the limousine straight to jail
Make bail, grab a limo and then you can do it all over again, c'mon
You can't account for what I blew through,
'Cause the house always wins and I do, too.
Never through, never gone from grace
And still splitting each and everything with a face
In the place with the ice where the dice are shootin'
I rock that shit with the man Wayne Newton.

Vegas, baby
Vegas, baby
Vegas, baby
Vegas, baby
Vegas, baby
Vegas, baby
Vegas, baby
Vegas, baby

Vegas, baby
Vegas, baby
Vegas, baby
Vegas, baby

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
