Selfish love is the type we share
I want your elfish touch and your pelvis here
Hot top shelf hugs come don't be scared
Let me sweep away your feet now it's only fair

She won't open up because of what she been thru
With her pops, first whopps, and her sleazy crew
Maybe I can be that nice clean dream for you
Be the first to get a taste of your creamy truth

Wanna smash that wall, like a Berlin youth
Wanna be the one you're hooked on hurting you
It's a ego thing, I wanna lock you down
Cos you're intricately infinite as London town

I wanna see you on your back with a smiley stare
Have you on the back foot while I'm firing glares
Open it, I don't like you tying your hair
Drop your guard but I never said this fight was fair

You can't have all of me
But gimme all of you
I wanna walk tall knowing that I'm owning you
Check check
Kick about
One two one two
Give it up get it out
Say I got you

I think it's better if you do it do it quick
Do it like it's really something you can kiss on with your lips
I know you're probably tryina stop from being sick
But you want all of me so here I am -- this is fuckin' it
Every inch of the iceberg, not just the tip
Hit it like the Titanic did, sink like a ship,
Get down real low, switch from quick to slow
Swallow your pride as you swallow mine let's go
I want your soul, you want mine
So I guess we'll just degrade each other one more time
Feel the tips of my fingers running down your spine
This ain't love but just appreciate your design
If you want all of me, then give me all of you
I said this ain't love yet but it could be soon
When you flip a sixty nine on me out the blue

You cant have all of me
But gimme all of you
I wanna walk tall knowing that I'm owning you
Check check
Kick about
One two one two
Give it up get it out
Say I got you

You're a heart shaped tart faced rubicks cube
You little fast-paced, dark-laced floozy you
Why don't you love me? Tell me I got you
But once you want me then I wont want you

You're a heart shaped tart faced rubicks cube
You little fast-paced, dark-laced floozy you
Why don't you love me -- I want you to
But once you want me then I won't want you

Because all of my smiles just come out sad
Flashbacks of your soft thighs drive me mad
Wise words that you wore like a secret badge
And the times we had were just lies you spat

But I don't really feel deeply at all for you
I know it's sad isn't it but it's the awful truth
And you're playing me and him? We made a whore of you
The pride sends me mad I'm ignoring you

It's like I've given up the weed but want a toke or two
It's not filling up my need so I blow you hoops
Now I'm scribbling my grief on a piece of you
Like I'm nibbling for greed on a greasy stew

In my bedside table there's a drawer for you
Ripped fishnets hairclips loads of lube
There's a dirty laundry bag full of clothes for you
My clean sheets are spoiled by I'm over you

You cant have all of me
But gimme all of you
I wanna walk tall knowing that I'm owning you
Check check
Kick about
One two one two
Give it up get it out
Say I got you

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
