There we were sitting in a circle
the killers and me
dressed for Halloween Catholic girls
circa 2143.
I'd have hit the road long before
but Elsa took my keys
so I laid down and listened
to the wind in the trees.

That night I'd tried to paint
as usual Elsa posed
laying in drag on my sleeping bag
bitching about her nose.
I felt I was in too deep
and in need of repose
fell asleep in Elsa's arms
and woke up in my clothes.

Next day Elsa bailed
How she loves to disappear
I put on a peacock feather hat
and danced in the mirror.
The killers have left the west
and they're crawling back east
Leaving a trail of shotgun shells
and unmanned Judas Preist(?).

There we were sitting in a circle
the killers and me
dressed for Halloween Catholic girls
circa 2143
