I know it hurts
You know I'd quench that thirst
(I can treat you better than her)
You say you're lonely
I say you'll think about it
'Cause you're the only one who resonates
That chase, mouth open like high

Higher than a motherfucker, dreaming of you as my lover (mouth open, you're high)
Flying like a streamer thinking of new ways to do each other (mouth open, you're high)
Pull out the incisor, give me two weeks, you won't recognize her
Mouth open, you're high

I know it hurts
You know I'd put you first
(I can fuck you better than her)
You say you want me
I say you'll live without it
Unless you're the only one who instigates
Get your mouth open you're high

Higher than a motherfucker, dreaming of you as my lover (mouth open, you're high)
Flying like a streamer, thinking of new ways to do each other (mouth open, you're high)
Pull out the incisor, give me two weeks, you won't recognize her
Mouth open, you're high

Feel your body closing, I can rip it open
Suck me up, I'm healing for the shit you're dealing
Smoke on your skin to get those pretty eyes rolling
My thighs are apart for when you're ready to breathe in
Suck me up, I'm healing for the shit you're dealing
High motherfucker, get your mouth open, you know you're mine

I'll put you first, just close your eyes and dream about it
Higher than a motherfucker, dreaming of you as my lover
I'll quench your thirst, just chase the high and stop your doubting
Flying like a streamer thinking of new ways to do each other

High (high, high)
High (high, high)

Higher than a motherfucker, dreaming of you as my lover
Flying like a streamer thinking of new ways to do each other (mouth open, you're high)
Pull out the incisor, give me two weeks, you won't recognize her
Mouth open, you're high

    Song Meaning

She has said that the song is about wooing a man away from a sexless relationship, hence the lines "I can fuck you better than her" and "give me two weeks you won’t recognize her."

i believe this song is about a guy who has overcome a drug addiction. But then gets his heart broken and starts to think about using the drug again. Then the drug says to remember the feeling of the it the very first time it was used on those chased lips ( virgin lips ) The drug then tells the guy you say your lonely...I say you think about it because you are the one who must instigate (the use of the drug). Then the drug says give me two weeks you won't even remember the girl who broke your heart, you won't even recognize her because you'll be in love with my HIGH.

    My Interpretation

This song has so much meaning for me because it perfectly fits what I'm thinking and feeling right now towards my ex. We broke up about a year ago and we recently got back in contact with each other. We had the most amazing sexual connection and I don't believe either of us can find anything like it anywhere else and we both admitted that to each other recently. I just came out of a relationship and he has a girlfriend but I'm really not phased by her.

"you say you're lonely": to me, this means that although he's in a relationship, there's always an element of loneliness because no one understands him like I do.

"Give me two weeks you won't recognise her": I know that all it will take is a little time together (it won't even take two weeks) and things will be how they used to be. It's happened before, it will happen again.

"I can fuck you better than her": No one can fuck him like I can

"Motherfucker, get your mouth open, you know you’re mine": I pretty much know that he's mine and he knows it too. The same applies vice versa

The lyrics are talking about female sex.. "My thighs are apart for when you’re ready to breathe in, Suck me up" referring to oral sex.

great to hear a women singing about this subject in such a deep way..

I am pretty sure she is saying "dreaming of you as my lover," and I am less sure of this one, but it sounds to me like she is singing, "(something) deep inside, so give me two weeks..."

At any rate, this has been track 7 on just about every mixtape I have given a girl since the song was released. :P

Where you people get drugs from learn the definition of words and you will clearly see you are wrong but hey maybe that's what you compare drugs to sex because it is also an addiction

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
