Alright, come close
Let me show you everything I know
The jungle slang
Spinning 'round my head and I stare
While my naked fool
Fresh out of an icky gooey womb
A woozy youth
Dopes up on her silky smooth perfume

Right, my little pooh bear, wanna take a chance?
Wanna sip the smooth air, kick it in the sand
I'd say I told you so but you just gonna cry
You just wanna know those peanut butter vibes

My, my simple sir, this ain't gonna work
Mind my wicked words and tipsy topsy slurs
I can't take this place, no, I can't take this place
I just wanna go where I can get some space

Truth be told
I've been here, I've done this all before
I take your gloom
I curl it up and puff it into plumes

Right, my little pooh bear, wanna take a chance?
Wanna sip this smooth air, kick it in the sand
I'd say I told you so but you just gonna cry
You just wanna know those peanut butter vibes

My, my simple sir, this ain't gonna work
Mind my wicked words and tipsy topsy slurs
I can't take this place, no, I can't take this place
I just wanna go where I can get some space

Hold my hand and float back to the summertime
Tangled in the willows now our tongues are tied
How can I believe you? How can I be nice?
Tripping around the tree stumps in your summer smile

Right, my little pooh bear, wanna take a chance?
Wanna sip this smooth air, kick it in the sand
I'd say I told you so but you just gonna cry
You just wanna know those peanut butter vibes

My, my simple sir, this ain't gonna work
Mind my wicked words and tipsy topsy slurs
I can't take this place, no, I can't take this place
I just wanna go where I can get some space

    My Opinion

This song is about drug use....didn't dawn on me until i actually looked up the lyrics. I think it's about shooting dope. Alot of addict compare the feeling of heroin to being in a womb (warm sensation) and being born for the first time. i could be wrong but alot of the lyrics point to that.

    My Interpretation

I kind of picture this being a young father, singing to his baby.

It's from the mentality of a man all the way through achieving orgasm.

It's about sex, about wanting to get it on. I read an interview with the singer where he said that his mum said she'd liked the tune but thought the lyrics were pure filth!

I think this song is about a woman who's that type of person that just can't get into a relationship and has a tendency to break hearts.

First verse: Describes how this lady is very experienced and knows her way between the sheets and a more mature "dirty" world of sex, and her freshest inexperienced "victim" is just hypnotized and caught in her absolute attractiveness.

Chorus: first part: Describes how she told him it's not gonna work, but he's just completely oblivious and just acts by pure infatuation.

Chorus: second part: Describes her "evil" demeanor in pushing him away afterwards(I would go as far as to say this experienced lady has anxiety issues that always come up at that moment "I can't take this place, I just wanna go where I can get some space"; she's one of those twisted souls that just can't let anyone come too close.

Second verse: Literally just elaborates on how she's being this "bitchy" lady.

Third verse: I think the lower pitch used in this verse isn't just a harmonic/melodic motif to accompany the c-part, but a verse sung by the male partner(hence lower pitch) being caught in the desire and infatuation, describing his confusion and feelings of desire and infatuation.

I find this song to be a brilliant masterpiece. the video is very artistic and beautiful, for which I have my own interpretation as well.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
