"A Sky Full of Stars" as written by Christopher Anthony John Martin, Guy Rupert Berryman, Jonathan Mark Buckland, William Champion and Tim Bergling....
'Cause you're a sky, 'cause you're a sky full of stars
I'm gonna give you my heart
'Cause you're a sky, 'cause you're a sky full of stars
'Cause you light up the path

I don't care, go on and tear me apart
I don't care if you do, ooh
'Cause in a sky, 'cause in a sky full of stars
I think I saw you

'Cause you're a sky, 'cause you're a sky full of stars
I wanna die in your arms
'Cause you get lighter the more it gets dark
I'm gonna give you my heart

I don't care, go on and tear me apart
I don't care if you do, ooh
'Cause in a sky, 'cause in a sky full of stars
I think I see you
I think I see you

'Cause you're a sky, you're a sky full of stars
Such a heavenly view
You're such a heavenly view

My InterpretationI think this songs is about the "true" Coldplay fans that don't like the new sound and are saying they only doing it for money or whatever the heck those so-called fans are saying.

'Cause you're a sky, you're a sky full of stars.
(I think this represents the glorious fandom that sticks with Coldplay through EVERYTHING)
I'm going to give you my heart
(The band will give you all they got, everything from their heart)
'Cause you're a sky, you're a sky full of stars.
And cause you light up the path
(The fans help them through complicated times, such as Chris and Gwyneth's split)
I don't care, go on and tear me apart
(Criticize all you want, make us[the band] feel bad)
I don't care if you do
(I don't care if you tear us[the band] apart)
'Cause in a sky, 'cause in a sky full of stars
    I think I see you
(Your here listening with the fandom anyway, if you don't like this one song, don't listen any new songs that come out)
    I think I saw you
    (Same as above)
'Cause you're a sky, cause you're a sky full of stars.
I want to die in your arms, arms.
(I want to stay with the fanbase through my whole life)
'Cause you get lighter the more it gets dark
(The "true" fanbase doesn't care about changing sound, and support the band through all the hatred about changing)
I'm going to give you my heart
(The band will give you all they got, everything from their heart)
I don't care, go on and tear me apart
(Criticize all you want, make us[the band] feel bad)
I don't care if you do
(I don't care if you tear us[the band] apart)
'Cause in a sky, 'cause in a sky full of stars
    I think I see you
(Your here listening with the fandom anyway, if you don't like this one song, don't listen any new songs that come out)
Because you're a sky, you're a sky full of stars
    Such a heavenly view
(It's wonderful to see the amazing fanbase that takes EVERYTHING Coldplay has into heart and cherishes it.)
    Such a heavenly view

I think the whole reason for it being kinda edm/house is to show that they actually care about everything they do even if it is different.

I like EVERY Coldplay song, from this all the way back to the Safety EP.

General CommentI think the song is about a person whom loves another with all his heart but the feeling is no longer mutual. She wants to move on with her life but all he can think of is her. The thought of this kills him from the inside but at the same time his love for her is too strong, so it doesn't matter as she will always be his bright spot.

General CommentI think this song is written about someone wonderful, and that nothing is every truly black and white. That even during the dark times (or the night) there can still be light (stars). And sometimes regardless of the situation you have to appreciate that light, or that person.

    General CommentHope is infectious.

Death while making a difference makes us indifferent.

The underlying current of this song is a certainty that the frenzy will fade and the end will entail with certain loss.

"I don't care, go on tear me apart. I don't care if you do. Cuz in a sky full of stars...I think I saw you"

"I want to die in your arms"

The basis of life is tragedy.

Love is not defined by our experience, but others account of our humanity being crushed for others lifting, celebrating, benefiting and furtherance.

That is the joy we hear in this song.

That is the remains of this song written in retrospect.

I'm gonna give you my heart "He's telling this to someone he loves so much. "And I don't care, go on and tear me apart. I don't care if you do. 'Cause in a sky, cause in a sky full of stars" No matter if she doesn't treat him well, his love's not going to change.

General CommentMy opinion is that it is a song about being so close to someone who they consider perfect or are in a perfect love with, yet they know that they can't stay there. They understand that the moment will be fleeting, but that one fleeting moment is worth a lifetime.

General CommentI'm not a coldplay fan but I love the ghost stories album and this is my favourite. it's got just the right amount of techno and beautiful piano.
