It's a problem that I'd like to have
If I could just find out and fill these gaps
And now you see me here, and now you don't
Is this my only hope?

Won't you say you want to dance with me?
Won't you listen to my misery?
You know I'm working here against the clock
C'mon now tick that box

No one's falling, no one's falling for it this time
No one's falling, no one's falling for it this time

Alone and alone and alone and alone
You are
You're all alone
And alone and alone and alone
You are
I come undone
Everytime, everytime it comes
You're all alone
Alone and alone and alone and alone
You are
You're all alone

Now all I think about is "sell sell sell"
I just don't want you with no one else
I've got the script and I know all the lines
Just show me which are mine

No one's falling, no one's falling for it this time
No one's falling, no one's falling for it this time

Alone and alone and alone and alone
You are
You're all alone
And alone and alone and alone
You are
I come undone
Everytime, everytime it comes
You're all alone
And alone and alone and alone
You are
You're all alone

No one's falling, no one's falling for it this time
No one's falling, no one's falling for it this time

    My Interpretation

I think these lyrics are pretty self-explanatory.

The guy struggles to understand what role he plays in girl's life ("Won't you say you want to dance with me? Won't you listen to my misery?" -- mentioning two entirely different roles).

Words "And now you see me here, and now you don't" don't mean he appears and disappears. I think it relates to phrase "I see you as a...", meaning "I think you are...". Thus, this lyric means "Now you think I'm this [for you, "role" comes up again], now you don't anymore".

"Now all I think about is "sell sell sell" I just don't want you with no one else I've got the script and I know all the lines Just show me which are mine" He knows what he has to do, but uncertainty keeps him from changing (habits, behaviour). "Selling" means leaving something behind.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
