Julie said the concrete jungle in your head was made,
far before the chemicals would leave you in the shade,
wonder how those structures inside pull us to the fall,
wonder if they're really there at all.

I know you, I know you're...
Riding on your horses by the rainbow coloured bay,
diving through the coral reefs of tranquility sea,
hiding on the bottom of your cotton fantasy,
testing out your, testing out your, testing out your,
immortality.

Stories tell that Warhol drew the sketch of who you are,
angel man you're born on paper coloured by the youth.
Sucking on your future like you're smoking your cigar,
holding on to clouds of smoke like it's the only truth.

Yeh you're still...
Riding on your horses by the rainbow coloured bay,
diving through the coral reefs of tranquility sea,
hiding on the bottom of your cotton fantasy,
testing out your, testing out your, testing out your,
immortality.

Fighting with your windmills on the plains of yesterday,
history repeats itself i'm sure,
barking at the thunders on your stormy inner sky,
shouting at the things that were before.

I know you, I know you, I know you, I know you're...
Riding on your horses by the rainbow coloured bay,
diving through the coral reefs of tranquility sea,
hiding on the bottom of your cotton fantasy,
testin out your, testing out your, testing out your,
immortality.

    Song Meaning

and despite the drug use being seen as deviant somewhere inside him an innocent child still exists that people fail to see as they're too busy judging him. "Sucking on your future like your smoking your cigar, holding on to clouds of smoke like its the only truth" The drugs are wasting him away and his future too, and he's addicted, cigars cause cancer so it's saying Herion will kill him eventually but he's either pretending it wont or he's powerless to the addiction.

Then "fighting with your windmills on the plains of yesterday" This is the addict battling his demons, his desire for more herion, the sadness that he is an addict and can't escape the addiction , he may have lost friends or family because of it and most likely has financial problems with feeding his habit. "History repeats itself I'm sure" he'll take drugs again just like he has done before. "Barking at the thunders on your stormy inner sky, shouting at the things that were before" This is the depression that has come over him now he is no longer high, the sadness of the situation he's in hits him, the itch for the next high, and the memories of how he was before he had an addiction haunt him, he wishes he could be like that again.

The emphasis on the 2nd I know you in the last chorus is a personal touch they know the person well and they believe in him this songs for him.

Despite the lyrics being about a herion addict you can apply it without that meaning, it could also be translated to being about a dreamer or imaginative person. I apply it to myself as I am a dreamer and tend to float off into my own little world, and the others lyrics can be amounted to feelings such as depression or sadness we all feel, and the innocent child we all have inside us and our imagination that create wonders and stories and memories that overwhelm us with emotion that we sometimes feel as though we wish to be immortal and live in those memories once more.

This song is fantastic my favourite reptile youth one and a personal favourite overall, it's brilliant reptile youth are brilliant!

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
