Give it up
You're never gonna ever get it back this time
Each day's another chance you wasted to apologize
“Well I refuse to believe you”

I am a demon of insincerity bound by syllable count

Open up your eyes
We lead grey-scale lives
Truth comes at a moment you don't choose
So who the hell believes in you?

Hear me out;
Ridicule and insults are vessels of truth
And truth might have it's way at your expense
But as for lies, they're tailor made to please

This wasn't easy for me to admit so how much harder will it be
for you to forgive me?

    My Interpretationthese lyrics are pretty deep. I think the song is just about the tolerance of white lies ("grey scale lives") ultimately sets people up for their first big lie. then, by the time you grow up and learn that the truth is what matters to people, so many people have been brought up in a white lie culture that even the truth - no matter how harmless - won't be believed.
