Irene would you tell me what you said?
Irene would you tell me what you said?
This is my world, and you'll tell me what you said
We could beat them, if you'd tell me what you said

Irene would you tell me what you said?
Irene would you tell me what you said?
This was your world 'til he wished that he was dead
Now it's my world and you'll tell me what you said

General Commentthe speaker's perception of his world is bleak. he realises it's solely his world perception, so he asks someone, perhaps one he loves and trusts, what she sees; do you see what i see?

"he" in the penultimate line, is spoken in third person, that is, referring to himself. a bleak outlook can render thoughts of offing ones self, or, at least wishing yourself dead. but again, the inquiry; someone loves him. it appears to be her. what does she think? does she still wish him dead after seeing his world?

finally, the acceptance of here and "Now"
