The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.
There are times when I don't know where I stand (woah, sometimes)
You make me feel like I'm a boy and not a man (woah, sometimes)
There are times when you don't give me a smile (woah, sometimes)
I lie awake at night and worry for a while (woah, woah)
It's okay, 'cause I know
You shine even on a rainy day
And I can find your halo
Guides me to wherever you fall
If you need a hand to hold
I'll come running, because
You and I won't part 'til we die
You should know
We see eye to eye, heart to heart
There are times when I cry, 'cause you shed no tears (woah, sometimes)
Your mind's so far away, but your body's right here (woah, sometimes)
There are times when I just walked out your door (woah, sometimes)
And thought I'd never get to see you anymore (woah, woah)
It's okay, 'cause I know
You shine even on a rainy day
And I can find your halo
Guides me to wherever you fall
If you need a hand to hold
I'll come running, because
You and I won't part 'til we die
You should know
We see eye to eye, heart to heart
Woah
Woah (woah, sometimes)
Woah
Woah
Wherever you fall
If you need a hand to hold
I'll come running, because
You and I won't part till we die
You should know
We see eye to eye, heart to heart
I can find your halo
Guides me to wherever you fall

I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example:
"'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
This is about someone that the connection is so strong like a soul mate they feel the same things within their very core, they have a lot of the same likes and dislikes, they are on the same wavelength per say. He feels it but sometimes she doesn't show it when he does, kind of like he is sensing it but she is not showing emotions at the moment he is paying attention. He feels all the senses for her when he is in that moment but she is not always receptive to his feeling of the moment because so much is going on with her and she is distant. When she is on the same wavelength he feels the heart connection and sees on the same level. He would do anything for her and he will feel this for the rest of his life no matter what because he feels that spiritual connection of one with her.
