"Somewhere in My Car" as written by Keith Lionel Urban and J.t. Harding....
I'm driving home tonight, catching all red lights
That's alright cause I don't want to be alone
There's nobody waitin' there, cold and empty bed
Words I wished Id said come on the radio

Ooh, oh, oh, and I don't know why I do this to myself
Ooh, oh, oh, I know you're with someone else

But in my mind were somewhere in my car
And it's raining hard on the streetlight glow
You got your lips on mine, its gasoline on fire
I never will forget, you grabbed my shirt and pulled it over my head
And your fingertips slide up and down my back
Breathin' hard, steamin' up the glass
Id give anything if I could bring you back home

So, I've been sleeping til noon in the same bedroom
Where I once held you and its breaking my heart
I should take down all those pictures from my wall
Promises we made won't fill this empty space

Ooh, oh, oh, and I dont know why I just cant let you go
Ooh, oh, oh, I know youre never coming back

But in my mind were somewhere in my car
And it's raining hard on the streetlight glow
You got your lips on mine, its gasoline on fire
I never will forget, you grabbed my shirt and pulled it over my head
And your fingertips slide up and down my back
Breathin' hard, steamin' up the glass
Id give anything if I could bring you back home

But in my mind were somewhere in my car
And it's raining hard on the streetlight glow
You got your lips on mine, its gasoline on fire
I never will forget, you grabbed my shirt and pulled it over my head
And your fingertips slide up and down my back
Breathin' hard, steamin' up the glass
Id give anything if I could bring you back home

General Commenteith Urban cranks up the heat for his new music video "Somewhere In My Car," the latest entry in his blockbuster Fuse saga. Following such pieces as "A Little Bit Of Everything" (the album's lead-in), "We Were Us" (a plucky-pop collaboration with Miranda Lambert) and more recently "Cop Car," the new cinematically-shot clip is a chance meeting between two lovers. It opens on the leading man driving his car home late one evening, as he heads home to gaze at a collection of polaroids peppered on his bedroom wall. He looks longing at a woman's beautiful face, as the images fade and rise on a steamy make-out session in the front seat (and the backseat) of his car. A downpour splashes down around them, ultimately fogging up the glass.

General CommentThe video, directed by John Urbano (previously of Urban's "Cop Car") and filmed in black-n-white textures, creates an ethereal story, as the main character reminisces about his former flame but relives their passionate relationship in his mind. "In my mind, we're somewhere in my car, and it's raining hard on the streetlight glow," Urban croons on the chorus, as he picks up his guitar and lays down some electrically-vibrant guitar licks. "You got your lips on mine; it's gasoline on fire. I never will forget, you grabbed my shirt and pulled it over my head, and your fingertips slide up and down my back. Breathin' hard, steamin' up the glass. I'd give anything if I could bring it back..."
