"Another Story" as written by and Jonathan Russell Josiah Johnson....
These are just flames
Burning in your fireplace
I hear your voice and it seems
As if it was all a dream
I wish it was all a dream

I see a world
A world turning in on itself
Are we just like
Hungry wolves howling in the night
I don't want no music tonight

Can we go on like it once was

Every time I hear another story
Oh the poor boy lost his head
Everybody feels a little crazy
But we go on living with it
Yeah they go on living with it

These are just flames
Burning in your fireplace
I hear your voice and it seems
As if it was all a dream
I wish it was all a dream

Can we go on like it once was
Can we go on like it once was

Every time I hear another story
Oh the poor boy lost his head
Everybody feels a little crazy
But we go on living with it
Yeah they go on living with it

I'll tell you one thing
We ain't gonna change much
The sun still rises
Even with the pain

I'll tell you one thing
We ain't gonna change love
The sun still rises
Even through the rain

Can we go on like it once was
Can we go on like it once was

Everybody feels a little crazy
Like it once was
Everybody feels a little crazy
Like it once was

Can we go on like it once was

General CommentIt's about the elementary school shooting in connecticut. When something as horrible as that happens even if it isn't effecting us personally doesn't mean we don't feel sad or a little "crazy" from tragedy. In the end what can we do but move on to the next day "I'll tell you one thing We ain't gonna change love The sun still rises Even through the pain".

My InterpretationI think it is about a loss. The fact that even though you may want things to go back to how you thought they were, you can never truly go back. I don't really think its about any one particular event, but a personal story or event.

General CommentI heard this song for the first time on the radio the other day as I drove to a dear friend's visitation. It was a tragic, senseless death that caught everyone by surprise. I heard the song again the next day as I drove to the church for the funeral and yet again as I drove home that day from the funeral. It was surreal. The song moved me to tears. They say things happen for a reason. Yes, the song is about loss, profound loss. It is about moving on. It is truly cathartic. Thank you to all involved with writing, producing and performing this beautiful, haunting song.
