Here comes the pain!

Here comes the pain! Here it comes again, prepared for my resurgence!? My dominance reigns over you like a tyrants fist with the weight of steel, you’re lost, you’re hopeless within the darkness I breed, it becomes a drug like amphetamine, we all take control of your world! Nowhere to hide…these aftershocks keep you bound to my will!

I am all alone in the darkness here, I’ve made my own bed here, it is the chaos within that savours in the screams and terror I unfold onto this world I live in and strive to destroy, chaos unleashed with my plan received and the darkness breeds the demons we’ve created to slaughter youth and old, and with the future breed of the children born of darkness.

Here it comes again, the aftershock hit your world, now don’t you pretend, these aftershocks don’t faze you.

My InterpretationThis song refers to "power" through words or actions, and how through the use of words I had taken physical control of people and amplified the control with the use of paranormal circumstances and demonic influences. The chorus refers to how much control I may have over my subject, there is a deep and dark instinctive force that wants to destroy the people under the influence of the darkness. "Children born of darkness" refers to the repercussion when the "aftershock" leaves people shaken when they delve too deep into the "Dark One's" world and how much it affected them, even if they deny the power afterwards.

Song MeaningAnother way to interpret the song is how things as simple as conversation can become a drug, the song speaks about this addiction for human contact as a drug and how there is a power struggle between wanting and needing communication, and when communication stops between two people the effect leaves a dark and brooding loneliness that is not helped when there's something inside that feeds off the pain from loneliness.
