He never saw them come with a gun raised,
He didn't run, resist arrest or jump the gateway,
Jean Charles was murdered in our own state's name,
Propaganda spread the moment they stole his life away,
He never saw them come with a gun raised,
He didn't run, resist arrest or jump the gateway,
Jean Charles was murdered in our own states name,
Propaganda spread the moment they stole his life away

There’s a force, call it what you will,
Religion or humanity,
There’s a force call it what you will,
Guides us when we cannot see

July 22nd, a mother mourns for the death of her murdered son,
Shot to the ground on the subway floor at the hands of policeman’s gun,
Later they claimed that he jumped the gate, yes they claimed he began to run,
But Jean Charles was the victim of a state of fear now another mothers
murdered son.

There’s a force call it what you will,
Religion or humanity,
There’s a force call it what you will,
Guides us when we cannot see

There’s a force and call it what you will, religion or humanity,
Keeps you struggling, it keeps you a kicking when lost without hope out at sea,
There’s a force in pursuit of justice gives us guidance when we cannot see,
Keeps me struggling, it keeps me a moving to see what is yet to be seen.
